thought I'd share with you guys... its awesome how the floor can be removed and there is a wheel well to work with, otherwise I'd lost all that cargo space with the audio equipment I wanted to put in there.
The equipment is pretty discrete as most of the time I have the cargo floor in place.

Wow that looks great!! I would take some nice thick plexi glass and cover it! Did you do it yourself?

Nice install & choice of subs 'gabi'...what size are they? Is that a fiberglass enclosure they're mounted in? Is there anything mounted in the housing where the stock Boston Acoustics sub normally resides? Could you describe the rest of your components including the head unit? Does the 2nd amp power the door speakers or does each sub have its own dedicated amp? And finally, where is the spare tire located now? Sorry for the multiple queries...

I am looking at putting 2 JL 500Watt amps to power 2 JL W6 10's or 12 inch subs. I thought the Boston System has 450 Watts for the doors? I didn't think I would need to get a new component speaker system...whats up? Give me your thoughts?

That is sik! You just might have a money maker on your hands there. I bet alot of people would love to have that set up minus doing all the mod work, thats where you come in. :) . Again, good job!

Yep, it wasn't as fun as it normally was as it was raining out here in Vancouver the last couple weeks so I had to work in my very small home garage
I may do that come summer but I just wanted to do something simpler first.

subs are 12" (the first year I believe focal is making 12 inchers).
The encosure is fiberglass/mdf and the stock sub housing is empty (my Pat didnt have the boston acoustic system, I demo'd a Patriot with one and was glad the one I purchased didn't come with it, would've been more work to pull it out).
I run the stock head unit as I didn't want to lose my U-connect, wanted to keep the stock look, and didn't want to shell out the extra for the modules to keep my steering wheel controls.
The front component spkrs are Focal Access 6.5" comps, 100w's going to each coming from the bridged alpine 4-channel on the left. The rear doors are stock running off the head unit but the audio is faded fully forward most of the time. The right alpine amp is the mono block running 600w's to the pair of subs.
Spare tire is in my house, I only throw it on top of the cargo floor if I'm going on extended drives where I can't just call up one of my buddies to go pick up my spare from home hehe.
No problem on the questions, glad to share :)

I'm not sure of the exact specs on the boston system. I did demo a Patriot with the boston system and I would bet that with 2 JL 500/1's and a pair of W6's, it would drown out the factory spkrs.
2 JL W6's would be hella loud though. I had 2 12" JL W3v2's running 800w's in my civic and the Patriot with 600w's to 2 12" Focal's are much much louder with the hatch instead of a trunk.
If it was ME, I would run a single 500/1 and a single 12 W6 and get a JL 300/4 to either run the stock boston sprks or run new comps, that is my personal opinion though. Either way, solid choice in amps and subs.
