Ok so I just got back from the garage after having the 18k servicing done, they did the oil, filter, cabin filter, brake fluid, and at my request they did the fuel filter, checked the belt tensions, checked the sticking door lock ( and said they could find no fault , so i expect it will be going back!)and reset my radio head unit ( as the time kept jumping backwards and forwards at random) and for this they charged me £326, before i left the keys i stated that this seemed a bit steep and the guy in the service dept ensured me that chrysler set the prices and not the dealerships  but i needed it doing and the next closest dealer is 3 hours away, so i had little choice.

How does this stack up with you guys? how much have you been paying?
I must add that the customer service was good, i got a good courtesy car and they washed my pat, so all in all it was a good experience :smiley_thumbs_up:
the garage i used was Marshalls of Peterborough (Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep dealer)

faceman, my 18,000 mile service was £219.29. Everything that you had done but without the fuel filter ( Going to get that done when my back-order door lock comes in)Yep I got the lounge & the free coffee , TV , newspapers & biscuits. I refused the free loaner as they only took one & a half hours.Oh yea & I got the free wash & Vac out.£100 extra sound a lot for a fuel filter.

Ummm Never heard of an engine flush being part of any Patriot service ??? Its not down on the Schedule in the book. There is a coolant flush & replacement at 60.000 miles. Looks like your dealer managed to get an extra £40 out of you. My second service was £219:27.......Strange!!

My 18000 mile service for 2.0 CRD cost £250 all in including engine flush! This was at Meridian Milano in Bmth. I've also had a sticky door lock, which is being changed under warranty tommorrow, and a new NSR window regulator which is being done at the same time.

Good price Ash ( Bugger !! you beat me)---Still trying to find out what this Engine flush is all about!!---Waste of time Money spinner for dealer???

Engine flush is basically just sticking a detergent through the engine to clean out any soot deposits before puting the new oil in. Only worth doing if you are planning on keeping the car yourself for a long period. Probably a bit of a money spinner but it would definitely do it no harm, and may save money on expensive failures in the long run.

Hi Guys,
My 18,000 service due end of this March and I'm looking for a decent authorised dealer in W. Yorkshire. I'm not going to use my previous dealer (where I purchased the car from) which was JCT600 in Wakefield. To summarise, awful customer service and in all honesty, I believe they didn't service the car properly. So, any recommendations would be much appreciated.

My first 10k service came in at £200 in Stirling (and Sterling for that matter). Sounds about what others are paying... Nothing extra done and no additional warranty work aside from slight adjustment to bonnet alignment. This is the first new car for me without major 12 month warranty work being needed..... last cars Volvo, Merc, Landrover. Good one JEEP! JDPower eat your heart out....

How long does a service take? My local dealership charges £100 per hr plus VAT. Labour, plus any parts.

Got mine from Sytner also,
Apparently they're one of the top 25 companies to work for.. and for that they have to keep the customers happy, that's you and me folks.

My 18k service cost about 220-240 up in Glasgow. The 27k one was a shocker though at 320. My car turns three this month and therefor is out of waranty. The dealer wants 260 for the 36k service but I think I can get the filters and oil done privately for about 100. I'd like to stick with the dealers and wouldn't mind paying a premium to do so but they are just being greedy and pricing themselves out of the market.

The good news is that apart from tyres and a set of rear break discs and pads my jeeps clocked up 36k without a hiccup. It's a 2l diesel limited and I'd recomend it to anyone. Scrap that I've just failed an MOT. Needed to replace ball joint on lower front suspension. Turns out I'm far from the only one. See this post http://jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=37926

Also having problems with the dealer due to corrosion on alloys. See this post http://jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14551&page=2

Update: my pat is now due its 27,000 mile service, called Marshalls of peterborough and they quoted, wait for it....£420 !!! almost dropped the phone, told them to forget it, did a bit more digging and found a dealer in east yorkshire that would do it for £316, this is a huge difference, there needs to be some kind of governing for these costs, how can there be so much difference between franchised dealers ????

My dealers seems to stick to the MOPAR recommended Menu for servicing costs , so I have never been overcharged. The Tech always sits me down with a coffee & tells me exactly what they are going to do & is there any other worries I have with the vehicle. I never had any service problems with my Caliber or Patriot & not expecting it with my Avenger. After 2 weeks of owning my used Avenger I mentioned a brake squeel , & while it was in for some paint rectification , the replaced both front discs & pads all free all under warranty!!

Weak ball joints on a Jeep is unacceptable----Not enough R&D---or cheap build to keep costs down!!

My local two dealers both seem ok, except one seems to know more on the technical side than the other. Beaconsfield and Isleworth.

Had the Pat seviced today at John Stokill near Hull, they quoted £316 and it came out as £312 so not too bad, still cant figure out though why Jeep insist on such short servicing periods, the same engine in a golf or passat and you would need servicing every 20k miles, 9k on the Pat means I am at the dealership twice a year :(
If anyone is due a servicing ask them to check the ball joints on the front suspension, I did this as they wouldnt normally have been checked and lo and behold both sides need doing, warranty job so not too concerned:smiley_thumbs_up:

Dont talk to me about the silly short service intervals. Once my Avenger is out of warranty( about 13 months & if I still have it) It'll be 5W-30 Mobil 1 fully synthetic every 15,000 miles--end of!!

any garage dealer or not changing 100 an hour must wear masks whilst servicing a vehicle
