: 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sahara
Will H 01-16-2010, 08:30 PM Picked up my new toy today a "02" Wrangler Sahara. All stock for now but not for long as it will be getting the same mods and a few more than the Patriot did. I will get a few pics tomorrow of it since I didn't today. It came with both soft and hard tops also. Everything else is basic Wrangler options on it.
cdrift 01-16-2010, 08:55 PM very nice, you can do a lot more to a wrangler in terms of hard core wheeling than a patriot. I am thinking about buying a wrangler just for wheeling too, but keeping the patriot for regular driving.

That's what we got it for. The Patriot has done well but I can't keep pounding on the wifes vehicle (she has to get to work). So now we have His and Her Jeeps.:smiley_thumbs_up:
Three inches of lift and 32" BFG mud terrains are in order first. Then some body protection.
Earthworm51 01-16-2010, 10:20 PM i say pound on the Explorer, but is it a 4x4?

No, it's only a 4X2. Besides it gets better milage than the Wrangler and work is over 40 miles one way.
koolkatken83 01-17-2010, 07:59 PM Very nice Will, do you plan on bringing that up to the Jamboree Next year? Should also pick up a subscription of JP Magazine, or check out their website lots of info on mods for these.
Good Luck and Congrats!

Thanks, thats our plan to go back to the Northwoods jamboree in Crandon Wis. this July but with the Wrangler this time. I wish some of the guys with the FDII's from the site would show up this year. It would be cool to see a couple Patriots there showing their stuff. Hell if my FDI made it I know the FDII would have no problems.
Will H 01-19-2010, 03:43 PM A couple of pics from the other night in the garage.

koolkatken83 01-19-2010, 06:30 PM Very nice and clean but I'm sure you can take care of the clean part on the trails. Great buy. How many miles on White Lightning?

It has 81,000 miles on it and it's clean for now ;). It also has four brand new 235/70R/15 Firestone Destination A/T tires with only about 200 miles on them I will be selling soon too.
White Lightning I like that one.:smiley_thumbs_up:

My 88 white Dodge Shelby Z twin turbo had a steering radius that reminded me of a lame elephant--hence the nickname "White Elephant".

I'm sure it was more lightning like than a Wrangler?
koolkatken83 01-21-2010, 10:03 PM What motor does it have?
HoosierMud 01-22-2010, 07:58 AM I'm sure it was more lightning like than a Wrangler?
I'm sure the Wrangler is more 'elephant-like' in a number of ways. It can crush anything it its path and get you most anywhere. That Daytona was hell to drive in snow!
joesjeeps 01-22-2010, 09:43 AM Sahara would make it a 4.0L six.

Yep, with a 3 speed auto trans.
koolkatken83 01-22-2010, 02:11 PM I over looked the Sahara Part, good eye and knowledge.
