Then there's my two evil little fatties. :p Kismet is my Tuxedo Cat, and Taboo is my Black Cat

561107 10-21-2007, 02:02 AM I get to go home every month or two but when I do I get to love on and spoil my Pippin. He lives in Alabama and I miss him so much. He has me wrapped around his little paw. I would have him with me put I live in a trailer and I work 60 hours a week at night and it would not be fair to him to be alone so much.
this is my 3, black one is "Molly" grey one is "Charlie" and the blonde one is "Deano"

Oh man...had a black lab a few years ago that was an absolute sweetheart. Nursed her through hip surgery and she was the best dog I've ever had. The anti-wife took off with her, but that's a long story...
On picture taking....get down to their eye level when taking pics, then they seem less of an object than an entity.
I miss Pugsly....yeah, she was a great dog, despite the name. ;)

Who are your companions?
MEOWZERS!
My friend is trying to convince me to bring home one of her black kittens... though I've already named her (Crookshanks McGonagall Sullivan) there is something telling me that our Master of Skogkatts won't allow it; Odin hates other cats but LOVES dogs... weird, huh?! :p
P.S. Good advice about the camera angles ~ whenever we snap pix of Our Furry Ones, we always use "portrait" style angles... or the extreme closeups to get really funny or poignant shots. :D
MEGULA 10-21-2007, 08:31 AM Well, I already flaunted Our Furry Ones in the other thread, but I might as well share some other pix here. They are the most adorable furballs in the world, after all... hee hee
You can see in my signature early pix of our fuzzy babes; here are some more (man it's hard to pick which ones to share; all of their pix are so damn cute!) ~
Here is Odin Sylvester Sullivan, our beloved Norwegian Forest Cat:

Here are Angus Connery (Border Collie) and Sunny Ilena (Golden Retriever,) our precious pups/partnersincrime:

And here is our beloved Valkor Wolfmoon who passed away last year...

Awwww!!! I get that look so often from Odin... and ignore it!
Speaking of Goldens, have you ever heard of "miniature" ones?! Sunny will never get any bigger and we think that is just too weird ~ we call her a "MiniGoldie!" :D
yes there are minitures around...DEANO is 48 kilo's dont know what that is in pounds;)...but at his age jumpin in the pat is a wee bit of a struggle for him, may need to make a step for him..hehehehe

Ollie18 10-21-2007, 11:44 AM LOL!!!
All the pets look so cool... Here's a photo of the furry kids in my family...
http://www.jeeppatriot.com/gallery/data/500/medium/My_Family.JPG
Doggie Bios follow:
Shorty, a Cockapoo, is the oldest, 10 years. Miss Bo, also a Cockapoo, is going on 6 years, had a litter of five by Shorty 3 years ago. Sweet Pea is all we have left from that litter. Dusty is two and a half years old. Her mother, Luna, was a
Cockapoo and her dad was, we think, a Italian Greyhound.
They are all very special... But if any one of them makes a mess in my new Jeep, there will be a post here to give away a very special dog....
demolaysgirl 10-21-2007, 01:52 PM Oh man...had a black lab a few years ago that was an absolute sweetheart. Nursed her through hip surgery and she was the best dog I've ever had. The anti-wife took off with her, but that's a long story...

Black labs are the best!
I wasn't a dog person until we brough Fred home in 2001. He won me over and paved the way for Sadie to come traipsing into the our lives earlier this year.
That picture of them was taken the night I brought her home from the shelter, in March. I've got some better shots of the two of them, just not stored on this computer.
pdxbubba 10-22-2007, 10:43 AM I had a cat. I bought her as a kitten. She was with me for just over 22 years. It will be a little bit before I get another.
On a lighter note... I think this is one of the best Halloween costumes for a pet - ever!

Ollie18 10-22-2007, 10:47 AM You guys got some cool pets for sure. I would love to get a dog as well, but time is the issue. Maybe someday.

And I for one would want to see pictures of your fish... Dean and I have always kept saltwater aquariums and have hundreds of awesome pix. :D
canadaPATRIOT 11-07-2007, 09:56 AM Our little man loves the room in the Patriot, allot more than the mustang he had to grow up in!! He dosen't really like the cage I put in the back though
He's a bit older now, but still as cute.
Beagle/American Bulldog = Beabull

Norwegian Forest Cats RULE!!! Check out our skogkatt, Odin... :D
azelismia 11-08-2007, 11:06 AM yup, Erls has been the best cat ever. Honestly I wish I could clone him when he dies.
Odin is a very pretty cat too!

Here's Techno and his best mate. He's 9 years old and due to being mixed breed (bordercollie-lapland reindeer dog-carelian bearhound) he's got some 9 more to go. Smartest dog I've ever seen (he knows some 30 words etc) and the most faithful companion I could ever wish.
http://amccf.laatikko.org/personal/techno_ja_kaveri.jpg
Here he is at the age of 4-5weeks. He came to us from an unwanted batch (friend's neighbor had 14 pups from 2 dogs in 2 weeks) and he was going to put the second batch down...
http://amccf.laatikko.org/personal/techno_vaavi_2.jpg
On this one he's about 7 weeks old, already curious in our ex-apartment's balcony :) A year later he could reach all the way over the balcony side.
http://amccf.laatikko.org/personal/techno_suurimaailma.jpg
He loves cars and trips as most of his early years were spent traveling from here to there. Patriot was approved by him quite fast. ;) Easy and roomy ride.
Jeep-KT 11-13-2007, 03:44 PM Here are my 'kids' - Dexter the Pug is 3 yrs old (right) & Callie the Puggle (pug/beagle mix) is 1 yr old (left)... they are my world!

HoosierRon 11-13-2007, 04:30 PM We had to put our dog down two weeks ago. He had cancer, and his body was producing no red blood cells. When he was no longer able to walk, I carried him outside to go to the bathroom. Then he pretty much stopped eating. Then he could no longer stand even if I carried him out. I think by the end he had lost his sight (he was diabetic). When I came home and saw that he could not lift his head to get a drink, I told my wife it was time. What made it so difficult is that although he could not move his head or see, when someone came into the room, his tail still wagged until the very end.
This is how Porter will be remembered, in all of his majesty.

ttilley 11-13-2007, 08:34 PM this happened to our boxer a few years back.
She was still protecting my wife when the vet came in the room to put her down.
absolutey the the hardest thing I had to do.
We still miss her every day.

sorry to hear that. it's one of the hardest things you can go thru. My cat died a slow death of oral cancer last winter. we had to feed her by hand. she couldn't eat on her own. it just rips you apart.
quasimodem51 11-14-2007, 08:02 AM We lost our "granddog" 23 months ago. His name was Muskoka, a golden retriever. We have a pic of him taken about 2 minutes before he passed - sitting up looking all majestic and proud. It was December 2005. Muskoka was outside playing in the snow at my daughter's house. Muskoka just slumped in the snow and never woke up again. He was 8.
Huntyeraws 01-10-2008, 06:57 AM Here is my American Water Spaniel (AWS) - Lily
Lily is just a little over 5 months now.
Here is a short video of a short, single marked retrieve demonstrating Lily's non-slip retrieving style. Hear the "bang"? I can't use a 209 primer pistol (blanks) at the school grounds behind my house otherwise the local Police Department would be all over me! You may notice that she does not go until I release her. She heels along my left side, sits at the whistle and delivers to hand a Dokken teal dummy. Note that when I walk away, she is sitting where she is supposed to be. She is coming along great and it looks like we are going to make a great team.
http://video.yahoo.com/video/play?vid=1776362
You may note that there is a dummy e-collar on her neck in the video. She has never had a real e-collar on her ever. The collar is there for training/conditioning purposes only.
Sorry for the crappy video, my 8 year old son shot it with my Kodak V570 DSC (actually, for his first time, it is not too bad!) in the cold and whipping wind yesterday at 4:30PM.

That's one gorgeous pup you have there.
neilcrichton 01-10-2008, 10:00 AM So many beautiful dogs. Living alone, I'd like to get a dog, but I need to get my yard fenced in first. That's my top priority spring project. My last dog, when my kids were still kids, was a little Yorkie, "Dr. Pepper". He had the hilarious habit of grinning when he saw certain people. He lived to fifteen years. If I can find the negatives, I'll scan them and post a picture of his funny, toothy grin.
Schoat333 10-13-2008, 06:25 PM Heres a few pics of our little Devil. He wont be little for long tho.
This is maximus. Hes a 14 week old Akita/Lab.
We rescued him from the local SPCA.
14 weeks and 33 lbs already.

He likes to guard the broken storm window. ;)
