Just took delivery of our 2nd Patriot North. This time I went with the Freedom II crawler tranny. It's really great! I also like the higher ride height. The transmission is so user friendly, just select the shift lever to low and it's a seemless transition to crawl mode.
FYI, the Jeep.ca website and the 2010 Jeep Patriot brochure both show a full size spare included with the Freedom II package regardless of the model of Patriot you order, but it isn't so.
In fact unless you order the Limited it will cost you an additional $200.00 for a full size spare. Just doesn't make sense to me, especially considering the Trail Rating the Freedom II package gives the vehicle. I can't imagine trying to get out of the woods on a mini spare......
Chrysler is sending me $100.00 Mopar coupon.

Oh, Thanks for the heads up! I notice in the package here in BC, it does mention Full Size Spare for the FDII pkg? Hmm

Maybe with the exchange rate, you got the smaller spare?!?! That's truly stupid. All should come with a full size to begin with since the space is there.
Congrats on the Jeep and welcome to the group from another newbie.
Where on the Jeep.ca site did you see full-size spare as part of the FDII package? I automatically ordered a full-size spare after seeing it available as an option only in all packages. Never have seen a brochure, though.

I guess it has been amended on the jeep.ca website.
That didn't take long!!
It was on the Patriot homepage under Freedom II package. Now it only shows included with Limited trim level, before it showed included with all trim levels. Get yourself a 2010 brochure from a Jeep dealer and it will show included with all trim levels. In fact my 2008 brochure is the same as the 2010brochure.
Cheers
If it's in the brochure, I'd be taking it up with the dealership. That's seriously misleading. In the event of a misprint, don't they have to print a retraction? I don't think they can just reprint and pretend it didn't happen...

Push it with the dealer, they might cave and give you one. Mine did come with the full size spare as part of the off road package, which is another reason I was happy I went that way.

If it's in the brochure, take it to the dealer. It was advertised, and without a proper recall of the ad they should have to do what's necessary to satisfy the terms of the sale.
You could always say, "lawyer."
