They've disappeared off the official site - http://www.jeep.co.uk

Also the Dodge Avenger and Chyrsler Sebring seemed to have been axed as well.

Don't think the Cherokee is selling very well, I don't think I've seen one on the road since it was lauched last year, few more Patriots around though.

The Compass was dropped some 3-4 months back in UK. My dealers website shows he has 6 Pre reg Calibers & 8 Pre reg Nitros on his used car list each with only delivery milage on them( 100Miles)all at discounted prices. Looks like these models may be next for the Chop in UK.

Hmmm thank your lucky stars that you still have a local dealership. There was a dealership in Bristol which closed a while ago, shortly after I bought my Pat. Luckily I hadn't bought mine from there, but the dealership that I did by mine from is now also closed.

I now have a choice of dealers, either Swindon or Cardiff. Sadly the chain that owns the dealership in Swindon, when they had a dealership in Bristol, were a bunch of opinionated ****. They were rude, condescending and seemed reluctant to have my business. Needless to say that driving 31 miles over the border saved me several thousand pounds and the staff were polite and helpful. It's a shame that they have now closed.

I am reluctant to use the dealership in Swindon based on my experiences with their staff that were situated in Bristol.

I doubt the manufacturers understand that the dealership relationship is essential. When I'm putting out 1/2 year's pay to purchase a vehicle, they'd better be respectful or I'll go somewhere else. I won't bore you with stories, but I'm pleased to have found a dealership I like. They sold the brand I previously drove and when they no longer carried it, I switched to another brand they still offered: Chrysler/Jeep.

We're down to one dealer now in Northern Ireland, Charles Hurst (owned by Lookers PLC) which is a huge chain selling about 20 marques.

Ironically while the group have a terrible reputation locally for customer service, their Jeep francise is probably one of the best dealers I have dealt with.

I don't know about the mainland, but over here the Commander is probably as popular as the Patriot. Only ever saw one Compass in 18 months and about 4 or 5 Sebring/Avengers in the same timescale, mostly as CRD Taxis.
