For those who have the "Tow Group", I am trying to confirm what wiring the package includes.


Is it a plug that terminates at the back of the vehical or just wires?
How many wires? (4 conductor outlets/plugs seem pretty common)


If anyone has pictures of what the wiring looks like that would be most helpful.

The harness is just that ... a harness. It runs across the back underside of the Pat, from inside one tail light to the other. It has the necessary relays built into it and lines them up with existing holes under the Pat to mount them. It does have a standard 4 pin flat trailer connector, and also has a dust cover for the connector.

Somewhere in the forums is a thread with pictures on installation of the harness. It's pretty easy, but should be done prior to the installation of an actual hitch. I did the hitch first and it was a pain doing the harness after.

When you pick up your Patriot, the harness should be under the load floor, on top of the spare tire. The package will include the harness, a few mounting bolts and nuts for mounting the relays and an instruction sheet.

Make sure to check, I seem to remember some on the forums here that had theirs swiped by the dealer.
