I just got a sample can today.
Any advice on application or use.
Since it is a small sample can, any pointers on where to spray that I could see some results of some kind fairly quickly?
Thanks
Jim

I hate to admit it, but I have absolutely no clue what that is. Is Fluid Film the name brand of it?
I can't wait to find out whut it iz...(and will I have to have some?)
You'll keep us posted won'tcha?
..I'm off to Google to see if I can come up with anything (that's how clueless I am on that name).
Edit: just got done with their website. Now I REALLY can't wait to hear what you think of it Jimmy. It almost sounds a little too good to be true. Ron Popiel didn't make this stuff, did he?

I have not used Fluid Film and can't think of an automotive application. I use a similar product on the aircraft aluminum components of my Folbot folding sea kayaks. http://www.boeshield.com/ does an excellent job preventing salt water corrosion.

It works very well I've got spots on my XJ that I sprayed 2 years ago that are still protected from it. It also works great on electrical connections, my plow installer used it on all of the connections he made on the install and there isn't any corrosion at all appearing on the connections again after 2 years.
If you need more most Deere dealers carry it, cost should be around $8/can or $30 for a bulk gallon (mixed 50/50 with naptha bulk can be sprayed from a regular paint gun)

n.n.j.- did you get a chance to spray from the sample can you were given to get an idea of coverage? I was wondering if amount you purchased was just enough for your Pat or did you buy more than needed for other needs? (Wondering how many cans would be necessary for the underside of our Pats and some electrical connections.)
Watching the sales video on their website, it looked like the sprayer they were using was equivelant to a quart-sized can or so. Couldn't tell to be exact. (just seemed to look smaller than a gallon container)
Good luck with the new stuff.

When I had my car sprayed at Krown, they had photos of test results of various products such as Krown, Rust Check, WD-40, Walmart rustproofing etc. The photos were similar to the ones on this web page-
http://www.kellsportproducts.com/fluidfilmcompetition.html
However, the results were different. The Krown samples were the best by far. WD-40 and Fluid Film weren't too bad but the rest weren't very good at all.
It seems to me that Fluid Film is similar to the Krown product. For $115, I decided that it was worth having Krown apply it for me. The holes they drill don't bother me. They cover them with small plastic plugs that look similar to the factory plugs. You wouldn't even notice them if it wasn't pointed out to you. The only thing I don't like is that it drips for a couple of weeks after it is applied.

There's a link to a forum at Plowsite just for Fluid Film uses and questions.

It was dark and raining by the time I could try it so my hopes of testing it on the Patriot were squashed.
I did however coat myself with it and got in the shower.
Came out dry.
Sold me.
One spray can may do all the connections and such on a Patriot, but not sure if it would coat the entire bottom or not.
When taking shipping into account, a 2 gallon purchase was the most economical. I have a couple of spraying devices laying around so I can use it that way and brush on things if need be.
I plan on using it on more than the Patriot, and if I am making an internet purchase of something like Fluid Film or oil or air filters etc, I like to buy enough to not have to worry about it for awhile.

Ok...that's a visual I could have gone without. I think it's gonna take days to clear that one out of my head.. ;)
On a slightly more positive note..I think this stuff should work like a champ on my electric golf cart. I have a horrible time keeping corrosion off of the posts on that. That, and then I have 4 cars I take care of (2 for us and both boys cars). Sounds like a required purchase!

All the research I did pointed to a great product.

He really lays it on thick. Other vids I have seen show people using a MUCH finer coat, but it does show the coagulation effect well.
