Went to get in my pat wouldnt turn on the other day at all. Soon as I opened the door no lights no nothing! Couldnt even get it into N to get it backed out of my carport in case it had to be towed. Turns out my battery was shot. The only car we would manage to get infront of it was the focus nothing else could drive around the house and have enough room to turn around, apperently its not strong enough to jump it off. Anyway AAA was able to get it going and I took it down to the dealer where they tell my its my alternator. They are now saying this could be the problem of all my electrical crap thats been happening. Its only been to the service department all of like 8 times for phantom issues. Replaced the motors in all my windows, checked the wiring. This pat lately has been nothing but problems. I told them I don't want it back untill its fixed and if that doesn't happen in a timely mannor im going to drive another something off the lot and they can keep that one and twiddle with it till its fixed GERRR stressed and its not even 6 months old!

Does your state have a lemon law?

Yes, you have to take it in for the same problem I think 3 times. The problem is when I take it in they cant find the problem with the windows. They thought it was the alternator but today they called me and think its the wires. They are going to search for it, and if they cant find it rewire the whole pat. Im out of my car since friday and they say it might take all week to deal with it. Its really pissing me off.

Does your state have a lemon law?

most lemon laws have a clause of having to be the same problem 3 times or so,
all dealerships will just blame a different part,
blame battery twice, blame alternator twice, blame electrical twice, etc.....

so far i am grateful
+7K miles on my pat and no problems,

In Indiana, the lemon law takes effect after 3 times for the same issue and UNDER 18,000 miles on the vehicle.

Document, document, document every time you talk in person or by phone or visit your dealership. Ask to see regional rep is you are not getting anywhere with your dealership.

Again: document, document, document.

Sounds like it IS the same thing 3 times in a row: electrical, electrical, electrical. Get yourself a lawyer, AmyK528 and become a nuisance to Chrysler. Make it cheaper for them to replace the vehicle. It has nothing to do with the dealer; they just get the gig for fixing it.

The reason I asked about the wiring harness is that I bought an 08 and
had the towing package installed at the dealer. The dealer was not able to
get a wiring harness, I was informed about this after I had paid for it.
I contacted Jeep and they confirmed that there were no wiring harnesses
available to dealers due to the fact that they were having to replace the
wiring harnesses in the 07's due to 'electrical problems'. Jeep says they might
be available Dec/Jan. They will provide them to after market dealers.
Got mine from Uhaul, doubt that I will get my money back from the dealer.

Get yourself a lawyer

With lemon laws, I found it is much more of a hassle to get a lawyer than to handle the situation yourself. All you need is perseverance and documentation to make the dealer "come to his senses".

We got our towing harness with our 08 Pat that we picked up on Tuesday.... So I do not understand why your dealer can't get their hands on one for you

Here is a sample letter that you can re-write for your situation. If you send this to them, I highly bet that they will start helping you:
