Does anyone have those? If so, are they rubber? Plastic? How do you guys like them? Any slippage issues? How is the fit?

Thanks, Ollie

I've got some. They're flexible plastic, they fit great and they don't slip at all. They have sharp points on the bottom to keep them in place. They're a breeze to clean. I just hose them down and give them a wipe. The design on the top is the same as the design on the floor of the cargo area. They're pricey but I love them.

How is the 'traction' when your shoes are wet or the mat has snow/water on it? My wife is mainly concerned about them being to slippery...

I bought mine a couple months ago so I haven't had a chance to use them when there is snow on the ground. I haven't found them to be slippery when wet.

I live near the US border so I drove down to buy them. They cost $69 a set (2 mats). Front and back sets cost the same. I installed them while I was there so I didn't pay GST.

I live in Eastern Ontario so I picked mine up from No. 1 Speed in Watertown, NY, which is about 40 minutes away. I went to the Husky Liner web page and looked for Local Retailers in Watertown. I then phoned them up and had them bring them in for me- they had them the next day.

You can get them cheaper on Ebay but the shipping costs kill the deal.

They do list Canadian retailers so you could price them out first. I was going down to Watertown anyway so I didn't bother checking locally.

I bought some for my tan interior. They match well. I'm a pig. The tray design holds in all my droppings. They work. Clean up easily. They're held in place well from the form fit (it's excellent) and some of the nastiest thorns on the backside I've ever encountered.
I just put them in the front. The back seat holds no purpose for humans. It's much of the time folded down.
I ordered them online; either from autoanything.com or trucktoys.com. I don't remember. Whomever was cheaper, I guess.

They have a lip about 1.5" high all around the edge of the mats so they would probably hold gallons of water. You can see it on their website-
http://www.huskyliners.com/floorliners.html

With Husky liners, virtually nothing gets on the carpet so I find I almost never have to vacuum.

Those mats look like they do an awesome job! Does anyone know the prices (of in-store pickup?) for:
- the front two mats
- rear two mats
- rear cargo mat

Just look at the list of local retailers on the Husky website and give them a call. I picked mine up for $69 a set (same for front and rear). I didn't ask about the rear cargo mat. I picked mine up in Watertown NY. I called up one day and they were ready to be picked up the next day.

Great pics Ollie, I really think I'll go out and get the whole deal for those (front, rear and hatch area). One question I have (since I can't really tell from the picture), is there a lip at all to the left of the foot rest like the rest of the mat, or is it fully open to the side of Jeep?

Ollie18
10-20-2007, 11:44 PM
Wheezy - the lip only extends for about 2 inches into the footrest part. I can take a better pic tomorrow if you like...Go for the whole set up. I chose not to get the trunk liner as crap just moves around to much. I did a custom job with a VW Gorilla Gear Mat. The pix can be seen here: http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=3312 Endless ways to set them up and custom fit depending on gear in the trunk...

Oh - yes they are pricey...but well worth it. I used to buy generic floor mats for every winter...and by the time spring came around they were shot. These are build to last! So in other words, if you do it, do it right the first time.

By the way Ollie, those mats are the black model and not the gray ones, right? I checked the mats out on eBay and it says you can choose from black, gray and tan ones so I just wondered what yours are (black, I'm assuming).

Since your '08 Limited has darker seats than my '07 Limited (mine have the gray cutouts in the middle... I guess they stopped doing that for '08 models?), I was wondering if the gray mats might be a better match for mine? I'm not sure, but I'm fairly confident that either black or gray will go well with a dark interior anyhow.

Ollie18
10-24-2007, 07:44 AM
Yeah - they are the black ones. I ordered some Grey ones for my father-in-law's F-150. I can send you a pic when they get in just so you can compare.

On the 08s the Interior is considered Dark Slate Grey. it almost looks black though. Since your carpet is black, I would go with the black huskyliners but that's just me. The grey from the mats, and the seats will not match. But worth a shot. Your call. Either way will work!

Well, I'm shopping around for the cheapest prices for these (online and off), but until then, I found a picture of the rear cargo area mat:

I might have to look into the Husky rear cargo mat. Since Hubby and I are getting into scuba diving, this might be a good investment.

I'm still planning on getting the carpeted mat, for my doggies. One of them rides to work with me every day, so this is a must for her.

I'm thinking that getting the rear cargo mat might not be a good idea for me... I'm not sure how durable the lips on those liners are, but since I have to fold down the rear seats in order to fit my golf clubs in there, the bag would interfere with that lip and would either:
a) damage the lip (permanently)
b) keep my bag raised on an angle if the lip is that durable
c) send the rear end of the liner flying into the roof if it doesn't hold properly to the rear cargo base
;)

I picked up a set of these in tan for the front and back a couple weeks ago. They fit fantastic and they clean up really well. My family calls the back seat ones little dish racks because of the high sides and small size. It would have been nice if the back ones extended further under the front seats, but otherwise they're great.

When you look up retailers in your area don't just call one, check a bunch. I was quoted a difference in price of almost $40 from one retailer to the other.

I have had Huskyliners in my '00 and '05 Wranglers since they were brand new. I love them and will be getting them for my Patriot for sure. I only wish they wasn't so high.

The outside edge of the floor liner is not snug with the vertical sill--it bulges to the inside of the JEEP.
I snipped off the thorns hoping it would help--it hasn't.
Hopefully the really hot weather will heat the inside up enough to fit them a little better.
Otherwise, I like them.

X-Patriot:

Presuming the white Patriot in the picture is your vehicle, where did you get or how did you make the rubber door edge side molding (or is it a decal)? Either way, it looks really good... and I would like to do something similar.

I have the Husky liners and like them except -
for the fit along the outer edge (pic included) and I do find that they do slip forward a little (more so on the passenger side). Other than that, they do the job and cleaning them is a breeze. See thumbnail pics - Good luck:rockon:

I picked up black Huskyliners for the front. I intended to use them just for the winter but have decided to leave them in year round. Great protection for the floor, and easy clean-up. Paid ~$98 at PartSource.
