Hi everyone. I am in the market for a new car and right now the forthcoming Patriot is at the top of my list. I recently visited the Seattle auto show and checked out the Compass. Pretty nice interior, I think. I'm guessing it'll be identical to the Patriot's interior.
I'm a bit disappointed that DMC isn't offering this vehicle with orange paint, especially since it's being built on the same platform and in the same facility as the Dodge Caliber, and the Caliber is offered with orange paint. The other 7 colors available on the Caliber are identical to 7 of the Patriot's 8 available colors. Why can't they share that 8th color?
When this car hits the showroom I am going to try and convince the dealer to special order one for me with the Orange Sunburst color available on the Caliber. I know they can do it; just have the employee in the paint chamber hit the ORANGE button when my Patriot comes by.
As for the design, I think the Patriot would look a lot sharper if the 7 slots in the grille were a little thinner, and I wish it were available in a 2-door model (like the old Sport Cherokee).
Other than the color selection, the grille slots, and lack of a 2-door, I think this is a really sharp vehicle. I can't wait 'til these start hitting the streets so I can check them out.
