New to the site. Love the look of the Patriot. Waiting(searching) for more information. I saw the Nitro(ugly), but it is built on the Libety platform. Why not just give it the Jeep grille and Trail Rate the thing and call it the Patriot?

Because it looks nothing like the Patriot. I've also seen the Nitro in person, and it's pretty hideous. I honestly don't see if selling very well. It's like a mix between the Honda Element and the Scion xA (or B, i don't know which one is the boxy one).

Anyways, welcome to the site, and I hope you can hold out a little longer if you are planning on getting a Patriot.

I think the Nitro is a really nice addition to Dodge's lineup. It has that "in your face" don't mess with me appearance.

Too bad it doesn't come with a low range t-case. With that brawny look, it would seem like a natural "Dodge" thing to do.

I think the 08 Liberty is going to be a perfect fit on that platform.

The grille is fine, if you like that sort of thing. I just think that it would be soooo much better with the Jeep seven slot. I never liked the look of the Liberty, looks like a Pacer 4x4. Get rid of it, and give me the Nitro/Patriot.:)

Its actually the 08 Liberty platform, Dodge gets this one first. They drive ok, waiting to see an RT with the 4.0. I did drive an 07 Pacifica with that engine and it is very nice, actually makes that tank feel alive for a change.
