Jeep® Patriot
Builders: Chrysler Tech Center Vehicle Build Shops.
Trail-rated and designed to maximize the capability of the most off-road worthy vehicle in its class. Custom suspension lift raises the suspension 2.5 inches over stock-ride height and provides over 11 inches of ground clearance – to make way for the 31-inch BFG Mud Terrain tires on 16-inch Jeep Moab rims supplied by Prime Wheel. The front fascia is replaced by a custom steel bumper designed to protect the front end while allowing for as much tire exposure as possible. Custom roof rack ensures there’s plenty of storage for any occasion. Auxiliary lighting brightens any dark trails.
SirFuego 10-29-2006, 02:20 PM Now THAT's what I've been waiting for. The Patriot looks awesome on 31s.
I wonder if they put the diesel in it. I'd imagine the larger tires and steel bumper added a good amount of weight to it...
Captain Crash 10-29-2006, 04:15 PM Looks good, especially the color. I'm still not a fan of that roof rack though... I'd rather see more of a "basket" style with maybe some KC's instead of those little square lights.
The 31's are too big for that though. The wheel wells are way too stuffed in... definitely no room for any flex. Needs about another inch and a half of lift or drop the tires down to 30's for it to be functional.
pdxbubba 10-29-2006, 05:20 PM It's a thing of beauty!
Hand me the keys, please. I am ready to hit the trails with it. Let me see how well that suspension flexs, and how the engine/CVT2 combo handles the lift. I wanna give it a run.
Very sweet looking. I love the color, too!
aliens8443 10-29-2006, 10:13 PM awesome, awesome, awesome. the color is pretty sweet, and so is everything else.

I'm with you; it looks great, but the tires are still just a little to large to be practical. Nevertheless, it's very exciting to see some aftermarket support for the Patriot.
charlieB 10-30-2006, 04:53 PM All I can say is WOW
Great Post Man!!
Sha-Weet-Ness!!!
sevens47 10-30-2006, 05:58 PM Pretty nice looking, I think the tires would look about right under another 2-3" lift.
BigDuke6 10-30-2006, 10:07 PM I LOVE IT!
unclejjg 11-01-2006, 11:15 AM So....is this significant because it will be offered, or is it something that could be offered.
That is how I envisioned the Patriot....I hope this display isn't a simple tease.

Extremely doubtful this would ever be offered straight from DCX. It does however give a little hope of aftermarket support for the Patty. Don't get too hopeful though... take the AEV WK for example.
xjtke611 11-02-2006, 09:42 AM Now thats a Liberty killer. But lose the roof rack. It makes is look like an x-terra. Keep the lift but drop the tires down to 30" and switch to a more practical BFG AT.
charlieB 11-02-2006, 02:26 PM Looks OK to me.Either way,it will be here soon.
pdxbubba 11-05-2006, 01:00 PM That 11" of clearance is more than the 10" on the stock Wrangler Rubicon.
I really like that bumper over the stock bumper. Looks like it would help on the trail with the approach angle. I wonder how much weight it adds?!?!? Maybe a tubular would be better. You could go with tubes on the sizes and rear, too.
I would like to see more shots of it. Here at two Hi-Res shots (http://www.topspeed.com/cars/jeep/jeep-patriot-ar15380/image109569-0.html)
charlieB 11-06-2006, 10:08 AM The picture looking at the rear 3/4 is impressive.
pdxbubba 11-06-2006, 11:57 AM One thing that was overlooked was rear shackle hooks. I wonder why they didn't go with a similar rear bumper upgrade as they did up front?!?! Time limits? Budget?
When offroading and you get stuck... do you really want to pop off that little cover in the rear bumper?
I don't know if that qualifies for a rear hook.... Some of the groups I wheel with have a min requirement of front and rear hooks.
pdxbubba 11-06-2006, 12:02 PM Does the front wheel rub at full turn on that Sema Patriot? The side shot looks like it might be pretty close...

pdxbubba 11-06-2006, 12:05 PM Realistically, what would a lift like this one cost (roughly)?
Is it actually cost prohibitive? What is the likelihood of someone selling a kit like it?

That depends on whether or not the next generation Liberty will have off-road improvements (ie lifts, lockers, etc.) and how expensive it will be from stock.
When I last priced out a Patriot online, it came to nearly $23,000. You could easily add $2,500 and not bump into a more off-road capable vehicle's price range.
Unfortunately, I don't think those mods are enough to perfect the Patriot. New air-filters and exhaust to increase HP/torque and a locker or at least a limited-slip would also help it.
At that point, I'm guessing you are in the price range of a new Liberty.
I do hope they make this a reality and not just an example of what can be done. Somebody has got to produce a lift and a new bumper....otherwise, I don't think this vehicle will realize its potential.
Stinger 11-10-2006, 12:25 AM I was at SEMA and I stood next to this beautiful rig. Pictures are great but seeing the real thing in person was fantastic. It makes me want one even more.

Did you get any photos you could post?
So what was your take? Does it seem like a all new vehicle or a renovated version of the much loved cherokee?
Rottenbob 11-11-2006, 12:33 AM Man, that color really makes it. It's too bad Chrysler is not planning on offering it with orange paint. It would also look really sharp in mustard yellow and light blue. The lift and the bigger tires also have a huge impact.
patriot1202 11-30-2006, 06:37 PM what's the difference between the SEMA Jeep Patriot and the regular Jeep Patriot?
Captain Crash 11-30-2006, 07:31 PM The details are right there in the first post my friend. They're even further discussed throughout the thread.
tristavia 03-22-2007, 01:50 AM Man, I simply cannot wait to do that to mine, I'm bursting at the seems with excitement and joy and mischievous ideas!
