I'm a little confused on this:
Attachment Upload up to 7MB (up from 2.5MB)

The biggest current attachment available is a .jpg or .zip at 97.7KB

Where does the 2.5MB or 7MB come into play?

Thanks
Jim

I just looked at this, but just wanted to clarify. If you pay 20 bucks you are a member for 20years?

You're already a member but becoming a site supporter gets you extras as described by DMAG below.

20 years was just an arbitrary number that was put in there... chances are most of us won't still be driving out Patriots in 20 years anyway!

Thanks Gaze/Octazcat...I was just unsure if it was a monthly payment or a one time payment, and if I read this correctly it is a one time payment. I'll be showing my support soon!

For shame, for shame! I hope your ride didn't hear that. Sorry Pirate, I didn't even answer your original question.

We have 65 site supporters. Or around 0.8% of our users.

Rant
Wow 0.8%, I could fill in a lot of words here that would get me kicked off the board.

People this board is hosted and maintained completely by VOLUNTEERS. Just ask yourself:

- how much time has the information here saved you
- how much money have the ideas provided here saved you
- how many wild goose chases did you avoid by reading what is here

It is a one time contribution, just think of how much you are paying for internet access each month and think about the few bucks being suggested. You saved that in gas by buying a Patriot in the first place.

Rant over, the board may now return to providing helpful information

Many members get a lot out of this forum, judging by the number with hundreds, or even thousands of posts. These senior members, especially, should make a contribution.

0.8%? Are you kidding me? That is truly embarrassing.

I don't know if this has been answered anywhere but will becoming a site supporter remove the advertisements? May serve as an additional incentive to become a supporter. Just a thought.

I can verify that it does not remove the advertisements. I just ignore them anyway which I'm sure DMAG will be thrilled to hear:icon_rolleyes:

Well, I mean, if you've paid... then that should be the equivalent of clicking their ads who knows how many times so the fact that you ignore them shouldn't matter.

I don't think site supporters should be subjected to the advertising. It's like when you buy a vehicle from a dealership and they give you license plate frames with their name all over it, or worse, decals saying where you bought it from. You paid for the vehicle and have a right to not have their advertising plastered all over it. You don't owe them anything. Similarly, when members become site supporters, they pay their dues and therefore should gain the right to be free of site advertising.

Freeloading shlubbs like me are the reason those ads are there in the first place. Don't make the site supporters "pay" for it.

That's how I see it.

most forums are heavily plastered with advertising (a lot more than this fine site), quite possibly the vbulletin software does not allow for "blocking" of ads depending on "user type". The vbulletin manual online goes on and on and for example on the google adsense integration page there is no description on how to "turn it off"
i have read in other forums how vbulletin is changing their pricing structure, no sure if that is going to affect us here, maybe it is time to UPGRADE my support

I think it's time DMAG added a Level III Site Supporter option for $30 bucks. Or can I buy another Level II and get a Level IV badge? :smiley_thumbs_up:

Thanks for a great site guys!

OK I'm in for my level 3 badge, just consider it part of my christmas shopping 5732 (level 1 $15 + level 2 $20 = level 3.5 !!!)

I'm happy to support. $20 buys me nothing that lasts 20 years these days, and I've had hours of fun - and some bloody good advice so far.

I've also run websites and I know how much time they take. So let's see more supporters, and maybe there'll be more Pats around in 20 years - unless they're banned completely!

I am amazed at times how ignorant I am, this is one of those times. I went to look at becoming a site supporter lever II, $20.00 for 20 years, question (where the ignorance comes in ;-0) is that a one time fee or monthly fee of $20.00 per month?

I wondered the same thing. I believe the consensus was that 20 years was just an arbitrary number. Your 20 bucks is good for the duration :D

Cheers to those who run things!
