Thank you everyone for voting!

I bought my 2008 Patriot CRD 4x4 earlier this year. I was looking at buying a hummer H3 to replace my 1995 Cherokee. I couldn't justify having no real difference in fuel economy compared to my 350,000km old Cherokee, so I went in search of a smaller, economical diesel powered SUV. As there was never any intention of doing serious off roading, things such as ground clearance, offroad tyres, etc were not even looked at.

The choices came down to a Subaru Forester, Nissan Xtrail and the Jeep Patriot. It was a pretty easy decision.

I bought the car with full intention of going completely overboard as a daily drivable/show car and had intended developing it as far as it needed to go so I can try and win the Mobile Electronics Australia (National) Sound Quality Championship. I also wanted to build the car upspec beyond what Jeep had ever offered in the Patriot. This includes Leather clad Dodge Caliber SRT4 seats have and illuminated cup holders

Please feel free to read the build thread http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?p=195637#post195637

Again, thank to all who voted and stay tuned to see the progressive development of quite possibly the most modified Patriot in existance
