Is anyone else in the Mid-Atlantic / VA / MD / DC area interested in this event? It could be some good fun to ride for a good charity, and maybe show a Wrangler or two we can climb over that parking curb and then some..and still drive our Patriot home with gas-money to spare!
From a brotherly Jeep forum:

"If there was a poker run that benfit the toys for tots in Martinsburg,Wv would anybody on here be interested??? It would start at the new DirtyDawg Saloon, in Martinsburg, WV. We would be taking the back way up to Greenridge National forest and doing the 10mile loop (stocker friendly) and return back to the Saloon. It would be 10$ for a vehicle. To try to get more people to join in we will be opening this up to all 4x4 vehicles not just jeeps. Do we have anyone on here that would be interested in riding for this cause????"

I'd be interested, but if it's the first weekend of Dec. I'll be deer hunting. Sounds like fun though, and not too far from me here in PA.

And update from one of the contacts! (You can also contact me)
"We will be meeting in Berkley Springs @ 10:00am, on December 5th.
We will be riding to Greenridge and run the loop and then to DirtyDawgs Saloon for the after party.
Bring 10$ per a jeep or a toy worth 10$ the more the better. I think this is fairly cheap compared to most rides like this. All the money goes to the kids so, bring what you can. Think about the kids!!!!!
We will be meeting at the Moose Lodge.
Directions.
Go thru BS heading North on 522. At the north end of town its the last building on the left before leaving town. If you look to the left you will see 3 big silo type towers at the back of the paved parking lot. The parking lot is huge and paved. There is a used car dealership across the street on the right side. If you miss it and are seeing trees just turn around and come back and it will be on the right. The building is brick. Also look for a group of Jeeps in the parking lot.

LOL, your "sister" resents that! It was a great ride for a great cause and for me, well worth the trip.
I have some pics in my gallery:

Sorry i took so long...finding the time and getting Digital8 onto a computer is not easy without Sony's rip-off of a firewire-like iLink cable. Note, Digital 8 takes MASSIVE hard drive space to convert. Anyhow, I'm also sorry about the poor work trying to drive and film at the same time. There is about 20 minutes more, I'll edit that and throw it up on the 'net if I get a break from work and college.

Thanks dixiedawg,
Maybe I can get someone else do record for me, or a smaller camera that I can use some mounting mechanism...also I'll do some better editing for further videos.
I hope I can make it to any meet this year! I may be in a beter positions to add a few goodies to the Jeep, and put asid for emergency repair, but I have almost no time since I restarted college!

I know, I know....I know, set aside time to finally convert and trim the remaining 45 minutes of video from a 2009 adventure. It's not pretty filming, and no special effects, just try to enjoy the snow covered trees in Jeep-O-Vision ;-) Each are about 9 minutes long. I did use minimal amount of a stabilization fix through the software, since my poor Digital-8's built-in stabilization was overworked. The trail was rather rough, but my one hand driving, one hand filming was not a smooth process, lol.
