To be on the safe side you might want off road package with towing capability, i not sure how much a 4 kayak trailer weights.
It is not confirmed that 2010 is last year of production, lots of speculation about Fiat's moves.

My brother has the first journey sold in Quebec, he loves it. His only problem after two years are the brakes, actually the quality of the discs. (lots of vibration) other than that a good veehickle, but I believe the journey is not a actual 4x4 but only an All Wheel Drive(AWD)

hi rockymountain guy.

i dont no if i realy need a true 4/4.

i dont go off road..just dirt road and snow.

the journey is a bit nicer and as more space and about the same price.

i live in qc to in gatineau...but i am like 3 min frome ottawa.

Hey JOCO
I am not sure the awd is standard on the Journey at the cheaper model, I could be wrong, either way I say test drive them both and go with the one that feels right, and the one you truly want. there's nothing worse that second guessing after you buy.
