Cool, congrats, just for my info, can you post the build date on the door? I got an 09, but the build date is 09/09. I think they were building 09's and 10's at the same time.

Good morning Dave,

Hmmm it's more a problem with compute/camera illiteracy--mine. It's too complicated to go into.:icon_rolleyes:
BUT
I love my Patriot.--It has 400 k's and I'm beginning to feel comfortable with the on-board electronics. The User's Manual conveniently tucks into the door for instant referral.

From what I remember the 2010's went into production on September 21st, mine was built on the 25th and arrived in Windsor on the 29th.

I'll check the build date on the door and confirm. My son works at Chrysler/Brampton and monitored the build progress for me.

Oh, by the way, how many k's did your Jeep have when it arrived at the dealer's ready for pick-up.

9 KM on mine when we picked it up at dealer. Our other one had 200km on it at time of pick up but that was because it was driven from another dealership (Windsor) to London. Yes, bought 2 Pats in 1 week.

glad to hear all is well, get that son of yours to take a pic for you:D since we would all love to examine the subtle differences between 09 and 10
i had about 25kms on mine but that was just because it was driven across town for delivery

on my 2010 Pat were 62 because it was scheduled for "white top audit" because of my concern about leaks. As well as being road tested all of the electronics were tested as well.

I checked the date on the door panel and it says 09/9 or 9/09--can't remember. This means year and month. Hope that clears things up. Logistically inefficient to run models from two different years simultaneously. Just imagine receiving your brand new 2010 with black door handles on the passenger side and body colour handles on the driver side. Amusing to consider as long as it isn't your car. Two Pats in a week much better than one. Are they the same colour?

I think the door handle colour change is the only visible change from 2009 to 2010--the exterior mirrors are heated but difficult to see from a picture. I also wanted after-market body side mouldings but they're only available for the Limited. Fellow parking lot users--keep your doors away from my Pat.

I've looked in my manual and can't find what control heats the outside mirrors. I'm guessing at windshield defroster. Also I'm getting 28 MPG not k's per litre. Can't find that change either.

All in all it's a nice little number and I'm glad to have it.

That's interesting to know Sandra, because mine has the same date and it's a 2009 Patriot RME. Could they both have been made at the same time? Seems strange to me...but then what do I know? :) :)

in the same month of the same year.
Somewhere (on the American thread), someone posted the manufacturing schedule for this year. It showed the last day 2009's were built and the start date for the 2010's. Both models could have been built in September. I'll try and find out when the labels are attached to the doors.
It's a dilemna though. Two Pats one a 2009 and one a 2010 built in the same month. Chuckles

The published startup date for MY2010 production was always September 21st, then during the summer when the plant would usually be down they restarted one shift for the C4C program. So possibly they were in production right up to Friday the 18th then brought in the new control knobs for Monday job #1.:D

Hence the missing link between 09 and 10 that we can not confirm.

Sandra

For your heated mirrors, try turning on the rear defrost. My '09 North Ed. has the same and although I never tried them, I believe that will get them running.
As for converting MPG to L/100 km, you have to be in park to adjust your personal settings on the V.I.C. (vehicle information centre) which is located on the dash. Continually push the selector pin until "personal settings" appear. Once you select that option, your will be able to adjust a number of displays including the units for fuel consumption.

Hope that helps...let me know how you make out.

Cheers and enjoy your new Pat!

Thanks for the info about the VIC. I fiound the personal settings and changed them over to what I prefer. When the outside mirrors are fogged I'll try the rear defrost. I must admit I'm in awe of all the electronics and I'm enjoying my Pat every time I drive it.
