Anybody know if adding a 1" lift would void the warranty?
Also, I'm trying to find some replacement rims in 16". Has anybody found any that fit yet? Would it be worth it to upgrade to 17"?

From what I understand, a lift won't void a warranty on the paint, body or engine. The warranty is void on the part of the patriot that is modified, so for a lift, that might include struts or shocks etc. Hope this helps.

some dealers are more flexible on what they would allow,
modified my neon,
some dealers wouldnt honor the warranty because of mods i made,
wouldnt honor recall on a manifold gasket because i had aftermarket struts,
no lift or drop, just performance struts.
and performance spark wires,
as some dealers stated if you changed that, we dont know what else you changed,
had to go through 3-4 dealerships before one would honor the warranty,
claims also depends on the dealers rep with chrysler,
if they have gotten grief for too many warranty claims, they may be hesitant to submit additional warranty claims

Common Sense is the rule here...If you add a lift and the Ball Joints wear out prematurely...then you have to eat the repair. If you add a replacement strut that is "performance" then it would not void any warranty. If the dealership says it does, take them a copy of the Moss Ferguson Act...
They have to PROVE that a change you made caused the damage/failure/ect.
