Not sure of the whole story here, still getting info, but a friend of my girlfriend and her husband were driving through the woods on a short-cut two-track when she noticed a tree coming down toward them. She didn't even have time to warn her husband before it hit. Totally crazy to even think about! I'll spare you the photos of his head - all stitched up, he's okay - but here's the Grand smashed:

Very lucky.
Several years ago in the town I grew up, an old oak tree (48" diameter trunk) fell on a family's sedan as they were headed home from church. It fell exactly in the middle of the roof and killed the whole family. The car looked like it had been in a junkyard car compactor.
Always drove past that clump of trees wondering if it would every happen again.

A few years back we had a freak storm that spawned a mini-tornado. I don't think it ever touched ground but it tore the tops off a boat load of trees and a vehicle sitting at a red light was crushed and the driver killed by one. Very sad and just totally freaky random.

Just a little correction . . . one of my pet peeves like authors writing 200 AD when it should be AD 200.
Anyway, if it didn't touch the ground, it wasn't a tornado. It might have been a funnel cloud, but not a tornado.
Now, back to the show.
If it still runs, too bad this didn't happen during the C4C program because they could then trade the WJ on a new vehicle.

Someone was killed a few days ago here because of a tree falling on their car. I think some of the national news places picked up on the story.
