KemnitZ 08-27-2009, 06:30 AM Good job Deres, but think that it's easier to get Cherokee or Wrangler for this kind of upgrades:)
deres 08-27-2009, 07:35 AM Very true, but we all love the shape of our Patriot and we all wish it was more off-road capable...
Schoat333 08-27-2009, 08:01 AM Very nice Deres. What CAD program do you use?
Should have kept the round headlights for this one. It loses it's identity from the front elevation.
toesnose 08-31-2009, 03:53 PM very cool! great concept =)
I totally agree with Gaze, round headlights! :smiley_thumbs_up:
carlos35 09-01-2009, 08:40 AM El proyecto es muy bueno. El winch en la parte posterior esta bien pensado. Te felicito. Ojala se pueda comercializar. En espaņa hay muchos problemas para los accesorios

"This is a good project. The rear winch is well thought out. Congratulations. I hope it can be commercialized. In Spain there are a lot of problems with accessories."
- I knew living on this island would some day pay off...
jloffermann 01-15-2011, 05:25 PM To be honest you can get a Cherokee or grand Cherokee it would be water better because they have a rear straight-axle and they already have 3-7in lifts and all accessories patriot would look awesome but more affordable and flat-out easier with one those models.
:pepper: totaly great job though :pepper:

MiddleburgJeep 01-23-2011, 12:01 AM Is it just me or does the front end look like a new generation Liberty?
T_hill 01-24-2011, 09:24 AM I would love that front end on my patriot the grill and lights i mean. can u get this upgade on patriots?
dixiedawg 01-24-2011, 09:35 AM Someone was fabricating a front bumper sort of like that, but I never saw one in actual production.
Would be nice to have something to mount a winch to.
derekwebb 01-31-2011, 12:32 PM they do make a lift kit for patriot. its a pretty extensive kit too. Wish i had the extra cash to put one in my patriot.
StayFrosty87 02-07-2011, 01:41 PM Man that looks baller, but keep the lights for the authentic Patriot look. Have you also considered a brush guard with a winch mounting?

Patriot is based on the "cherokee" figure, except the front lights.
I think round lights was a mistake from the begining, they should follow that "square" shape. Only wranglers had round lights...
As for the brush guard, I think that the front bumper that I designed is a brush guard of its own!
BTW, there IS a winch...
kojack 03-24-2011, 01:55 PM sweet, 31"s would be more than enough tho! i would be so happy if the pat could stuff a 31" with a lift.
Jeepr 03-24-2011, 03:37 PM I think round lights was a mistake from the begining
I like that mistake.;)
The Luigiian 03-28-2011, 09:31 PM I think this is the way Jeep should redesign the Patriot for 2013. Gotta agree with deres on this one, it needs square headlights like the original Cherokee. Our family owned an '87-'88 or something of that vintage, and the headlights made the truck.
Jeep needs to remember why headlights are shaped the way they are on Jeeps. Jeep should use simply shaped auto lights, the kind that they sell at auto parts stores, because a Jeep is a simple tool; built for work, and therefore easy replacement of broken parts. If I'm out on a trail and a light breaks, I should be able to almost literally buy a new one at a gas station. Well, obviously you can't go that far, but you get the idea. Simpler headlights=simpler replacement=simpler repair.
Actually, come to think of it, round headlights fit that mold, too. Hell, Jeep should just use Wrangler headlights in every Jeep. That way, if I were driving a Patriot and totaled it, and then decided to get a JK, I could keep the headlights from the Patriot as a souvenir, and if the JK headlights went out I could replace them with the Patriot's old ones.
Therefore, in the end, while deres' CAD render is the better looking, Jeepr and StayFrosty87 are in the right. Totally square or totally round, no funky shapes, and I see a little bit of slant to the headlights where they meet the roof in your render. I don't think it'd look right with totally square headlights. Therefore, next Patriot should keep it round.
nocoJack 03-30-2011, 04:23 PM AWESOME
that's just sweet man... I'm a draftsman and have been for years... i've done some 3D houses and even some renderings... a couple of 2D drawings of my motorcycle back in the day...
I've never gone this route though... especially not with AutoCAD ... IMPRESSIVE!
uh oh. Jeep's onto you man... Looks a lot like the Jeep Rescue concept. If they announced this model, I would start saving and playing the lottery immediately ... this thing is GORGEOUS!

LloydCorbett 05-05-2011, 03:37 AM This one is stunning! :wow:
Hitman Hugh 09-09-2011, 03:57 PM Man, that Pat looks absolutely disgusting! (In the good way) Now if only it had a longer nose and a hemi with a supercharger. They need to bring back the Cherokee!
