Here in Illinois, the law just passed this week that there will be no kind of license plate coves on your vehicle!! It will be a $75 fine and it will be a non moving violation! I swear that if Illinois keep coming up with these stupid laws that I am going to be moving out of state!! What do everyone think about this??

That is bogus! So you can't even have a Frame around the plate?

As long as the plate is visible, I don't see why they would have a problem with it.

I think if the cover doesn't block the important details of your plate, then what's the point of banning it?

They are fining covers because of cameras. you can easily hide the numbers with a cover even if it appears clear to the eye.

Chaulk one more up for the bad guy. It's because of the law breaking citizens that you cannot put a cover over your plate. Of course, I never really understood the plate covers, but to each his own.

Wonder what the criminal's thinking is... "I'm gonna put a cover over my plate so I can blow stop lights and play frogger with oncoming traffic! YAY!" ****in retards. I think it should be more difficult to GET and KEEP a driving license in this country, but that's my two cents.

A simple plate frame that says 'Jeep' would be fine as long as it is not hiding or covering any letters.
