As I have only been a Patriot owner for 8 months I consider this to be a great honour. Many thanks to everyone who voted for me , & to those who didnt, I'm still your friend!!
I am even more amazed as I am not the worlds most best modder, electrician, off roader , speed freak Etc Etc. Apart from a little Chrome , my Patriot is pretty stock.
However,I do know a good vehicle when I see one. After owning a Dodge Caliber for 12 months , I started getting a little twitchy for a new car. Also much as the Caliber had been 100% reliable & I enjoyed owning it I was having a few issues with Visibility, ie. rear quarter over the shoulder, high dashboard & thick windscreen pillars. Plus I wanted to get back to a Diesel engine with a manual tranny.
I checked my dealers website & noticed he had just got in a one yr. old one owner Patriot Sport. I test drove it & WOW I have never felt so " At Home " in a car in my life. A half hour test drive & as they say the rest is History!! After a 15 minute haggle over new tyres & Money I signed the papers & 3 days later I was proud owner driver.
This Forum was one of the best things I have joined & I reckon is a Must for all Patriot drivers . I love both its Technical & Social sides . It seems like I have friends all over the World & gives us all an Insite into each others daily lives & how our Patriots play a part in that.
As I have got older, with a few medical problems , I now know I have one of the safest daily drivers around. I love thae fact that I have 4x4, ESP, ABS, Trans lock & Anti roll Mitigation . So my Pat is never going to get Boring!!
Thank you once more & stay well my friends & may Jeep Patriot . com Go from strength to Stength.
Best Wishes ...Pete
