Ordered a Patriot last month--nothing on the lot. So they'll be sending a 2010 model instead of the 2009 I ordered. Same price. Good or bad? I haven't seen a 2010.

Anyone else experiencing this?

Probably not a bad thing that I can see. I would expect that you will probably have to wait quite a while for it to be delivered though. The plant is just restarting today to finish up what is left of the 2009's already set for production. The plant will then shutdown, I believe for 2 weeks, then restart again to make 2010 models. I would bet that you will be waiting close to 2 months....maybe more.
I'm still waiting for my 2009 that was ordered in the middle of March!! Things should get moving in the next few days now that the plant has restarted though.

Thanks for the "heads up" about delivery wait time.

You've been waiting since March?

Probably the next shut-down is for re-tooling. Funny though how all the "doom and gloom" about the auto-industry has affected things.

Purchased a 2010 in July. White, 4x2 North Edition, Automatic, Sun & Sound Group and Speed Control (steering wheel mounted radio controls) for $24200 including taxes, destination and admin costs. Dealer claiming that the colour white is "late availabilty" and that the system kicks them out when trying to place the order. However, it appears that only the new "natural green" is "late availability". I'm not quite sure why the dealer is saying this. Any ideas??

I am from down near Windsor. I am looking in the near future getting a Jeep Patriot. When I went to the N.A. Int'l Auto Show in Detroit, Chrysler had a Jeep Patriot EV. Is that coming out for 2010 and if so does anyone now the price on that? I am consider 5 speed manual. For one thing it has 32 mpg/city and 40 mpg/hwy! The price starts at $15,000 base price (probably can get a better deal maybe $13 or $12,000 at the dealer ship?) It is a better price then what an Escape is which starts at $22,000 base price.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I was in yesterday @ Sherwood Dodge in Sherwood Park, Alberta to buy my 2010 Roit... The dealer showed a few 2010 models to be delivered to his store in the next coming weeks, a few even had rail car numbers (meaning they've been loaded onto a train and are in transit). I plan on taking possesion of one of those '10's and can't wait...

I also received an email from Great West Dodge Chrsler in Edmonton, AB. and the manager assured me he would have a 2010 model in two weeks for me to test drive.

That's great. I've been waiting since the end of June and the next two weeks will be testing my patience.:smiley_thumbs_up:

My red riot arrived in Windsor (about a 4-hour drive away) last Tuesday:pepper: Hopefully I'll have it by Thanksgiving and you should have yours soon after.

There two other 2010 Jeeps on the dealers lot right now that I saw to-night--the higher end ones. One is red and the other the new green and they both look great. I like the new green.

Cheers!
