Greetings Everyone,
This is my first post at JeepPatriot.com.
I live in Edmonton, Alberta, (Canada) and currently drive a 93 Jeep Cherokee.
Slowly the paint is disapearing and when I return an occasional rental car, I am finding more and more that I am missing the advantages of a modern vehicle.
So I plan to take the Patriot for 1 test drive and then purchase.
I will be going for the Limited with CVT with everything except the navigation system.
Attractions are initial cost, low mileage for an SUV, 4 wheel drive, storage capacity (for camping and golfing gear), safety rating (side airbags),...

I have found JeepPatriot.com really useful for answering most of my questions but here is one that I have not seen covered:

Does anyone have experience purchasing with CarCostCanada.com?
This will be my first time buying a new vehicle and I am wondering if the paperwork from CarCostCanada will actually help with a purchase of a 2008 vehicle.

thanks

I used CarCostCanada and was able to get $1000 off my 2007 Patriot North 4x2. But I have heard that it is very hard to get dealers out west to go below MSRP.

Howdy, nice to see another fellow Edmontonian on the site. We, too live in Edmonton, and just purchased a Stone White Limited Patriot FDII Trail Rated with everything other than the Nav system (see my signature).
I was able to get the salesperson down $3k for our vehicle. There are some deals to be had unlike what people tell you... that they do not move from the sticker price. I have a recommendations of where to go with some names, and WHERE NOT TO GO. We have had such a tough time getting our vehicle... seriously, not funny! I was this close to packing it all in and getting a Ford Escape. I swear my hubbie says that everytime we discussed the Jeep Patriot, he got a grey hair.
You'll find that many dealers do not know much about the Jeep Patriot b/c it is so new and there aren't many around. Southtown Dodge Chrysler Jeep on 66 st just off the Whitemud is supposed to getting a LTD. Green Trail Rated that was supposed to be in July 23. If you are interested, talk to Evan Manning. He'll give a good price.
