It can be done pretty easily actually. When ordered without Sirius radio option, the Pat's radios have a spare Aux. input at the connectors on the back of the radio. The Sirius module on the Pat's is still an outboard one, it is not built into the radio. You (or an installer if you don't feel up to it) can easily use those inputs for an outboard XM module. There are wiring kits available that make it pretty much a plug and play operation. You can easily find them on EBay if you are doing it yourself. I have the schematics in .pdf form if ya need them.

Right now though, I believe that Sirius is a free option on the '08s. The first year comes with it. This was not the case on the '07s. It may not last the whole model year either, but it's good for now.

Sirrus was available for a free year on my 07-
I just didn't want two accounts since I already have XM-

This is great news-
I really look forward to getting it installed-
I have the 6 CD changer- so I hope there is still enough room-

I have my XM installed in my Patriot, I have the Nexus unit. I'm currently utilizing the FM modulator, but will eventually go with a wired audio input via the aux input once I fork out the money for the adaptor. I'm still looking for a clean way of mounting the unit. I currently have it sitting in the square pocket in front and to the left of the forward most cup holder.
