well after several months and several dealerships,i finally got my patriot tonight. i just wanted to post my experience as an aid to anyone looking to buy a pat in the future.i went to a dealer in maybe june looking to buy a pat.after working with the one dealer and getting burned with the old bait and switch, i decided to do a bit of shopping around.most dealers had an idea of what they were doing , some didnt even have a computer. i just wanted to pay a fair price for the vehicle . so i wound up odering a jeep patriot fd2 loaded - radio for $28480. + tags with 0% apr and 3 yrs matenence. it took about 7 weeks to arrive.when i left a deposite with the dealer i didnt notice on the contract that there were handeling fees , filing fees or other bs fees. days before i pic up my pat i ask him to knock those prices down. he did not want to. told me they were dealership fees to keep the lights on.but i kept the presure up and he knocked them down . i got a $300. coupon mailed to me from thier dealership . the dealer did not want to except that either. told me it was meant for new customers. i told him what do you think i am?pressure was applied again , and he let me get the $300. off. altogether i saved $700. bucks from my original neg price.i just hope that what ever you take away from my lil rant , that you remember to be persistant, educated on what you want, and dont take no for an answer. and thank you to all the people that post on this forum.i found great info on here. take care good luck
