Has anyone else lost the little center hub cap that says "JEEP"??
I've had my Patriot for less than 3 weeks and today when I got home, my drivers side front wheel was missing the cap.
I have not hit any big bumps. I'm wondering if I can talk the Dealer into replacing it.
Also, I noticed some Rust? flows coming from the center of the wheels also. I can't tell if its from the cap or from possibly the brakes?
It doesn't make sense to me. I have alloy wheels on my Wrangler and I have not seen this happen.

sometimes they can order it for you!!
happened to my mom years ago, and the dealer ordered a new center for her. It did cost some, of course this was in the late 80's.

My concern is that these things are going to keep popping off.
I did not hit any large bumps so either these things are very loose or someone stole it. We were in a parking garage for 1 hour yesterday so anything is possible.

It could have been broken when it was installed from the factory.. That little center cap is really only a plastic piece that is snapped inplace. Head right to the dealer and tell them it just fell off while you drove down the road and they should replace it for you.

The little cap thing for our car is like 5 bucks. Its a plastic peice that just pops in. You can have them "seal" them in if they will do it for you. They came off of our car a few times and we bought replacments and had them seal them in they havent came off in 3 years.

The dealer is going to look at it next Tuesday and replace it. There is rust right inside the hub, so I'm guessing it has some metal retaining clips that may have started rusting, but the design should not be that poor that it would come off 2 weeks after I bought it. (it was built in March however).
The day I lost it, there were two Jeep Liberties parked right next to my patriot. Who knows..
