Normally I am VERY quick to clean up any bird droppings off any of my vehicles, but I've been so busy recently I let this one slide. It hit right above the driver's door handle, and the "outward" angled section just below the window.

I didn't think much of it, but after I washed the Pat this weekend, I noticed a "haze" in that area. Thinking it was a smudge from my rubber/plastic protectant dressing, I looked closer.

To my disappointment, the bird bomb ETCHED the paint! It is faint and I probably can buff it out, but still... JEEZ.

Wow - that is disappointing for sure. Hopefully it'll buff out. I wonder what that bird was eating?

Take it to a local body shop and slip the guy a 20. Cheaper than buying the compunds and easier of you don't have an electric buffer.

They will just wet sand and buff. Same thing happened to me on my old car right after I had the fender painted.

Well, I've heard of acid rain. Now we have to worry about acid bird poop..?
