I'm relocating to NM in about a month... Anyone know of any good camping/ hiking places to take my Patriot that would be comparable to the Colo mtns? I'm kind of sad that I'll miss the Colorado winter!

I don't think you will find anything like the Rockies outside of around Chama, NM. That is great. Redriver is good too. If you are looking more southern, I like Capitan, NM.

nm state fair
balloon festival
drive up to the crest & see the city (mountain east of Albuquerque)
Sandia man cave near by
Carlsbad caverns
white sands
3 story space center in Alamogordo
very large array (near Socorro)
Blakes (NM hamburger joint)

The hot air balloons are in Albuquerque this weekend & next week!!!!!
