What makes a car a "Ralley" car? Does it compete in those awesome ralley races that I see on Speed Channel?

From a Window sticker from 2007:

Rallye Group $ 1,985
Rear Stabilizer Bar
18-Inch painted Aluminum Wheels
P215/55R18 Black Side Wall AS Performance Tires
MOPAR Body Color Kit
Trunklid Spoiler
Bright Exhaust Tip

Unless the ESP can be fully disabled at all speeds, it won't be competing in anything. It's a styling package.

Correct - it's just an appearance package - that makes the Compass look more like the concept vehicle (and really what all the Compass' should have looked like in my opinion)

I fell in love with the Compass Concept after seeing it at Frankfurt

and then when the production model hit the dealers it wasn't nearly as masculine (no offense to the rest of my Compass brethren)

I love Rallye! In college, I presented some clips from a race to demonstrate team work and synergy. So freaking cool, next to Indycar :-)

No offense (I'm a compass owner too- although my wife drives it-) but that makes the compass man-drivable

thanks eighteenwheeler - not a big fan of black but it was better IMHO than the Inferno Red ones the dealer had on the lot - had I ordered it from the factory - I'd have gone with Jeep Green

I need to wash/wax her and get out and take new pics of her...

Will any of these stuff fit our beloved Pat? Might be worthwhile to look into it.

The wheels/tires bolt up. The muffler tip can be welded or clamped on. The stabilizer bar probably will fit too and might help handling a little. The body kit will not fit.

I don't care for the Rallye package style, not that I like the regular Compass much either. I could have purchased a green Rallye Sport 2WD for a little less than my 4WD Limited or a couple even more expensive red 4x4 Rallyes, but I'm happy with what I got for my money.

.

Interesting, for members that is interested in a street version of the Pat, the 18" wheels, tires & stabilizer bar might be a good upgrade.

the muffler is the Mopar 'upgrade' available and the same one that comes standard on the Caliber RT's

and the Firestone tires that come with the 18's suck - they wear out quickly

But did the Firestone handles & hug the road better? Might be the reason they wear out quicker, especially its a 4x4.

The OEM Firerocks (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyresults/surveydisplay.jsp?type=HPAS&width=215/&ratio=55&diameter=18&tireSearch=true) are 22/22[/url] on Tirerack's survey. Almost any other tire offers more grip on dry/wet/snow and lasts longer while offering less noise. The Yok TRZ has over double the treadwear of our OEM tires.

yes when my tires need replacing I'm tempted to actually go down in wheel size so I can go with some AT's

I been looking for 16's for same reason,
what a lousy choice of tires for 17"s
