I used Liquid glass on the tailgate window also.Keeps it clean and doesnīt smear much when wet. I realy like Liquid glass because it last much longer than any wax.

will post more and better images tomorrow because itīs dark now.

smooth as glass lol. i also run the buffer over all the windows, including the windsheild, it doesnt seem smart to do lol, but it works, when on the highway at 100 km/h, i dont need wipers lol and the rain jus moved like it does in a carwash

I have always sworn by Liquid Glass. And, yes, it leave a very smooth surface after application. One thing I noticed about LG is that when you finally wash your vehicle afterwards, it will still have the same shine or better!

Unfortunately, the only place i could get it at (Western Auto... now Advanced Auto) no longer carries it. Will have to look on Amazon or eBay now... maaaaannnn.... shipping is gonna kill me!

Rends, did you use the LG Pre-Cleaner, or how did you prepare the cars surface before applying the LG? Since you didn`t buy your PAT brand new, you couldn`t know what it was treated with before and that it wouldn`t collide with the LQ (wax, teflon, etc.). Also, is there a way to remove the LQ completely if one isn`t satisfied with it? Won`t it make stains or blots on the paint? Many years ago I brought a few bottles of LG from Canada but I never dared put it on any of my cars because I was afraid of the result. After a few years I threw the bottles away unused

I have been using LG for many years. I have brought many a paint job on older cars back from the dead. I now use it on my Patriot with great results. It goes on easy and comes off easy.

Thanks... The only place available in Puerto Rico would be Advanced Auto and they aren't carrying it unfortunately. Will need to check some of the online places for a better deal + shipping (making it even more expensive, but well worth it).

If in doubt, use the pre-cleaner. It is very effective. As for results, I have never had any issues with LG. I have used it on a '92 Isuzu Rodeo, light blue; '99 Ford Explorer, sunburst orange color and a silver '00 Ford Taurus - all with good results and no stains. If not satisfied, the pre-cleaner should be good enough to remove it for you as well.

Well i have the Pre Cleaner here but i didnīt used it.
If there was any wax on the Pat before itīs long gone. I checked the surface when it rains and there wasnīt any small perls wich let me believe that there was any surface protection done before.

You can use the Pre cleaner to remove LG completely.
But i only use the Pre cleaner after a season spring/leaf if nessesary.

LG doesnīt make any stains or blots if you use it correctly.
But itīs easy to work with and there isnīt much you have to take care if you work with LG.
First rule: Less is better than more. use a sponge and bring a very thin layer of LG on the Pat. Work part after part. first hood then fender then doors ect.
Wait 2-3mins after each part and polish the surface until you donīt see any of the liquid anymore.
Second rule: Let LG "burn" in at the sun and make sure that no water/rain get on the surface the next couple of hours.
and if you notice any stains/bolts later you can still polish them.
Third rule: Use it on the paint only. donīt let it get in contact with the plastic because it makes a white stain hard /but not impossible) to remove.
But if you use any other wax you need to be carefull about plastic too.

Wait some hours and you can start adding the second layer.
Repeat the procedure 2-3 times and you are done for the rest of the season.
There isnīt any wax that last as long as LG.

Here is a german FAQ about how to use the Pre cleaner and Liquid Glass:
http://www.nikella.de/wbb3/index.php?page=Thread&threadID=762
you donīt need to understand german the images tells enough.
Here (on the Hood) you can see how thin you should bring on LG:

try some carnauba one top of it- either pinnacle souverain ($$$) or top of the line's trade secret ($-$$) Both add UNBELIEVABLE depth if you're as anal as I am. When I show my car, I use numerous Zaino products, and then top it all off with Carnauba. It takes a mirror's reflection and makes it deeper, richer, and even easier to loose yourself in.

I found Liquid Glass at a local Autozone! $22 and change per bottle. They did not have the Liquid Glass pre-cleaner.

I wonder if a Mother's Clay Bar could be used to prep the surface for Liquid Glass?

A clay bar removes the old wax too, is that correct?

Haha I was looking at the Liquid Glass website and found their instructional video. Man it's like soft core porn for your car! Excellent job in keeping my attention don't really remember how to apply it though.

Hahahaha... I saw that back when this thread started and I agree. Was looking at the lovely applicator more than anything.

yeyyy stock-paint orangepeel .. it's the only bad thing about a decent wax-job on a dark vehicle.
