Looks like people are spotting various Jeep family members around the country sporting the CRD badge... could this mean... dare I say.. the Patirot CRD and the new Liberty CRD will follow the Grand Cherokee?!?!
Let's see... there's no at least 3 different Patriot CRD's running around Portland and a couple Dodge Nitro CRD's running around elsewhere

ya gotta love the net
I would love to see the lineup explode from one CRD vehicle to four CRD vehicle options!
Pretty cool! I'd love me a CRD. Torquey, efficient and lasts forever.

Will just have to find a sucker to buy my Patriot if they come out with the CRD. (did I say that out loud?):)

I'm praying that there will be a Patriot CRD!
Just keep sending emails (and better yet?) letters to Jeep expressing interest more CRD models! (I want to use a Patriot CRD as a commuter rig).

Emails or letters to the CFO at Cerberus might be more effective. :)

Don't think it would be the CFO. He is probably more interested in figuring out how to pay for this stuff. Better off sending to the CEO or VPs Marketing & Engineering.

Now that the TDI is fifty state approved, I suspect one of the issues facing jeep is assuring a sufficient quantity of TDIs. When one has the option of purchasing an long-lived engine with nearly the same torque as the venerable 4.0 six while providing 40 MPG with a six speed manual tranny ... who's gonna want the gasser?

Supposedly they are working on their own 4 cyl diesel now, instead of bringing over the VW diesel engine. They already have a V6 & new V8 from Cummins that are going to be ready for the 2010 50 state emissions. No word on when we might actually see the 4 cyl, but it is in development.

WHY?!?! Start cranking them out... let the waiting list grow. Better to have people drooling in line than looking through the sea of competitor's vehicles.
Right now, it is all talk. Build them and they will come.
