Well, that would look just great HoverBucs but if I tinted all the lights, like you`re planning, over here, the first cop would stop me and I would probably become a huge police sponsor! No concerns about that over at your location?

Do not tint lights!

Say an headlamp puts out 1500 lumens and you apply a mild 35% tint to them. You're down to only 525 lumens of light to help you see at night!

My son (who just finished his 3rd. year of electrical engineering) just happened to have had a class project on energy saving. His group happened to have studies tinting as an option and his finding concur with what APT states.

Safety is the ONE thing you should not play with on your vehicle...

Not only that, you make yourself that much more "interesting" to cops. They already like young people in red toned vehicles as it is. Wanna draw that much more attention to yourself?

and i have been looking into covers for the headlights instead of tint, also maybe even just replacing the lights.

dont tint head lights
when show cars have tinted lights
or dark light covers
those are for show only,
not for practicle reasons
on my neon, had light covers that blacked out the head lights
i liked it as gave the neon what looked like bug eyes
a pair of sunglasses
but i wouldnt consider having them on at night

It really has nothing to do with how you drive. Overdriving the lights (http://wiki.answers.com/Q/What_does_overdriving_your_headlights_mean). If you cannot see enough of the road and side of the road to react to anything that could be in your way, it is very unsafe.

Go full out and make mechanically retractable black-out panels that fold back when the headlights are put on!

*runs away laughing like a lunatic* MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Just find an old Firebird and use its flip up lights. :)

don't forget that headlights are also for others to see you.
