I had the first change at 1175 miles. I'll be leaving for a long trip on Saurday and by the time I get home I'll have 4100 miles on the Pat. That will be 2925 or + miles for the second change.

My question is should I get the second change now (so close to the first) or is going 3000 for the second change OK? Thanks.

Technically you probably don't need to change the oil. I would. Cheap insurance.

I switched to Castrol "Syntec" 5W-20 on my second oil change. The dealer performed the first change for free, so at 6,400miles I'm going to use the blended Dino/Synthetic oil from here on out.
The logo on my bottles specifically states that it meets Chrysler's specifications in addition to meeting the API (SH, SJ, SL, SM) ratings.
