I believe in wheel locks myself but have wondered... are they really necessary? I mean, with as many high end wheels being sold nowadays, if you have the original wheels on your Patriot, (17" painted cast alum. in my case), are these being targeted for theft in your areas? I like the fact my wheels state "Jeep" (not "eep") in the center versus Koenig, BBS, MSW, Oz or any other high end brand.

I had the pleasure of having my black steel spare 235/75-15 wheel stolen from under my Jimmy. $50 from the wreckers to replace it, and the junkie that stole it probably got $20 for it.

its worth it to have the lock even on steel wheel.. here last winter some people found their car jack and they wheel was stolen for the winter tire lol..
