The Pat I am picking up has the 6CD Changer and Sirius radio insalled and it says it comes with one year free service....how does that work? Do I have set up an account or will I have to do that when the year runs out. I have been an XM customer for years and would not have chnaged that if the Pat Radio didn't already have Sirius....I know that the two companies are suppose to be merging so that in the long run might solve my problem....I plan on keeping the XM radio in my Dodge....

Thanks

Dealer activates the account as soon as you pick it up. About a month later they sent me the info to use sirius from my computer.

Thanks for the reply....I think I found what I was looking for.....the radio seemed to be activated on the test drive...IF you want to access Sirius online you have to call them and get a id and password...

The sirius was on while at the dealer but I called them to start my year. Got all the info and they told me it would end on that date a year from then. They asked for my address vin things like that then asked me if I want the playboy station apparently you have to tell them if you want it or not. And we where done. So if anyone wants the playboy station give them a call and they will add it to your stations. Its really just a bunch of playmates talking about their lives sex, threesomes, girl on girl , and drug use. At least that's what I have heard on it when my cousin was listing. He cant get enough of it though lol I myself would rather hear some classic rock on my drive but to each his own. Just thought I would let yall know about that option incase there are some men out there who wants it but doesn't have it. Its the first station if you go backwards from 1.

Somehow I think it would be very frustrating to LISTEN TO the Playboy channel. (Any smiley would get me in trouble at this point)

Sirius mailed me a user id and password without my requestiong it

I called to cancel my XM last month (I have one of those roadie things) and they gave me 3 months free because they said they wanted me to stay a customer until the merger. Im hoping after the merger I can just add my roadie onto my Sirius acct that I got with my jeep and only pay a small fee so that we can have Sirius/XM in both the patriot and the dakota.

Haven't really paid much attn to playboy radio. Mostly because I'm not really interested in sex advice from a playmate and when I did have it on the only thing I heard was some viagra-like pill commercials. I think I will just watch "The Girls Next Door" to get my playboy dose. lol.

Oh and when I first got my Sirius radio I was only getting channels 32-184. I called them and they had to reset my radio and now I get all channels. If you are having the same problem just call 1-888-539-7474 and you will just have to somehow get to customer service. At the time I didn't have a username, password or any info. They are sending me a package with all that and a channel guide now.

lilburnsy, excellent update. Happy that it was just a programming issue.

When is the merger set to happen?? I had heard that it was against the law to merge the two 'commanders' of an industry because of monopoly or something- but I'm glad this is gonna happen!

Do you have all 100+ stations? I called in and had to be in my rig to verify the uplink.
