not sure about C. IL - I live here in SW MO and have seen about 3 patriots so far. Ours is in KZL status, it'll be on the way soon!

I'm in Northern Illinois and there are some trails that are just south of Chicago. Check out http://www.thecliffsinsaneterrain.com/ I drove mine through central IL into MO last week. St. Joe state park in MO is where I took it offroading...see pics here http://www.jeeppatriot.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1107

I was wondering if there were any other Patriots around the area. I live in Pekin and have had my Patriot for a couple of weeks now. It rides great, good on gas, and yes, it holds its own off-road too.

I live in Peoria. We have a Jeep Commander and a Jeep Cherokee.
We are heading to our fourth Camp Jeep this next week in VA. I want to drive the Partiot off road which we will get to do there. Also want to check out the 08 Liberty which will be on display. Might end up selling the Cherokee for a Partiot. Just haven't made up our minds. I bought our Commander in Indiana as our local dealer Uftring couldn't get me as good as price. I have all the service work done there though.
Not much off-roading in Central Ill but that deep snow fall last Nov. was alot of fun in our lifted Cherokee.
I have seen very few Patriots running around the Peoria area. I keep seeing a light beige one and a black one.

The beige one is most likely ours, we are always in peoria! There is one more that I have seen like ours and I have seen it in Washington and Sunnyland! So could be them to.. It is neat to see one on the road other than ours!!! I think that black one came from uftrings, because We sat in it after we ordered ours from obrien! obrien gave us more for our trade and ufting didn't want to give us nothing for it.. Well I think I said tooo much!

Thought I had better mention that we're in central Il too. Galesburg is about 45 minutes NW of Peoria so I know whereabouts most of you are in the area.
Hastey, your original post had a question I would love to see an answer to also: Any trails nearby??
I have been checking a little bit online but haven't found anything really close yet. Marsailles (probably screwed up that spelling!) is near Chicago and it has one, as well as one south of St. Louis (I believe someone might have mentioned it before). I'd love to find one a little closer to our area if possible but no luck yet.
BTW, there are other Patriots in our town but I can't tell if they are 08's, 07's or what, but I know that ours (so far) is the only Orange Sunburst around here! WOOHOO!
Cheers.

If you want to make the drive to Attica, IN and visit the Badlands. 700+ acres from mild to wild off-road park.

Google Badlands and visit their website.

I just checked out their website and it looks GREAT! I like the idea of having a "mild" area too, since the wife and I have never done any offroading at all. Sounds like a great experience! I have already emailed them for details and can't wait to get a response.
Thanks for the heads-up on that!
Cheers

I had to laugh yesterday I saw the twin to my Patriot (with stock wheels) and the next vehicle I saw was a red Patriot. All of this in a town of less than 1300 in the middle of nowhere.

Greetings from Peoria from another Patriot owner. There's a few folks around here with Pats but not a lot. WE LOVE our Jeep and although its a 4x2 we still enjoy its capabilities and size. Mileage is great, too!

We bought ours at Uftring Jeep just before Chrysler made them close for budget reasons. They just bought out O'Brian Jeep in Pekin though so it should be official in December. Same location but different owners.

It's great to "meet" all of you. I love my jeep! I want to get several things for her, a grill guard, fog lights, and on/off road tires. Just don't know what kind of tires I should get. I am open to suggestions. As soon as I get her clean up, I will post of picture of her. All the family and friends say my jeep fits my personality. My S.O. has a wrangler, but likes mine alot too. Once in a jeep never go back!

Happy Thanksgiving all!
