Looks like a great time!
Even my 2WD would have been able to handle that "Greek Off-roading". :)

Deres, you definitely have waaaayyy too much time to kill.
Are you sure you are an architect?

Beware the Greek Army approaches! (5 is the most Patriots together isn't it?)

I did have a lead in the poll, but I think I will get passed now that the Greeks are back. :D

Thank you Mrs Deres for braving the elements to take pictures of your idiot husband and his new friends. :smiley_thumbs_up:

Joe, I have my own office, I work with mrs Deres and we can manage our time succesfully (so far...). I worked about 6 years as an illustrator for magazines and commercials, so this kind of stuff is pretty easy for me - and much more quicker than you think...
Yes, it was most patriots ever gathered together, and I think that we'll be more the next time (spring, I guess).
As for the voting, I have already reached my limit-up, I don't think that I'll get anymore votes.

PS I'll pass over your greetings to my lady :)

Deres,
How high up are those mountains? To be looking like that, this time of year, would have to be 6000-7000 feet up over here.

Is that normal weather for this time of year?

Haha, that story was great.
I´m glad you have had so much fun!
But i have some questions:

Why do you have so bad weather in Greece? Everytime i see greek holiday commercials on german TV the sky is blue and the weather warm not such mess.
Next:
what happened to the greek culture? If went to a greek restaurant in germany we get Sambuca for free not Pepsi coke!
And last:
Will there ever be an happy end for the CRD engine? Seems it woke up in his worst nightmare (incorporated into a Jeep) and now have to deal with his life.
Maybe the VW engine and the Jeep Patriot will fall in love anytime in the future?
I´m pretty sure you will tell us in the next comic. Damn i hate cliffhangers!

PS: BTW that looks like a F104 starfighter in the background

The altitude (at the point we stuck) was about 1250m (or 4000 feet).
You are right, the weather was pretty bad for this time of year, we didn't expect it...

I know that, Pete!
I played with the words meeting and meat, because our first meeting ended eating meat than off-roading!

deres that was amazing. Great comic. I suggest to publish it in a book and start selling it as a comic. But even better idea is to gather all the pictures that had been taken from all of us and fix an album in that style. That would be a brilliant idea.

This first meeting was great and had the oppertunity to meet at last. Been the most patriots together in a meeting was nice. But I hope the next meeting there will be more fellow greeks to participate. The next meeting will be in May. That's the next appointment for all greek patriots

The weather is usually unpredictable this time of year in Greece, but we didn't expect so much snow.
You are right about the restaurants, they have lost their traditional spirit.
By the way, that drink that you mention isn't Sambuka, it's OYZO.
Sambuka is Italian and much more expensive...
I think the worst nightmare of that CRD will be to wake under a hermaphrodite chrysler-fiat-huyndai-consortium hood...
But I liked your idea, I'll offer it a happy ending in the future!

Oh the stories I've heard about OYZO. I had a friend in college who was greek and when he would start drinking all he would have to see is those four letters and it was over. Passed out bottle in hand and usually ending up peeing himself where ever he ended up. Makes for some great stories though.

We must inform our not Greek friends that Greece has the third larger mountain coverage from all the Europian countries. 1st is Switzerland and after Austria. Our highest mountain is Mount Olympus. You can check Google Earth to see that. On our trail we had at 1000 meters 7 celcious and at 1270 meters 2 celcious. The entrance to the national forest was from the north so the snow was raised so even my Patriot was imposible to continue higher. You can check my photo album to see snow at the sea level at Porto Rafti just next to Athens
