Well I put my summers back on, washed my car and noticed my tires having a brown tint to them. I think it may have been like this before I tool them off, just can't remember. Anyone have some cleaning suggestions that can bring them back to looking new again.

Try Westley's Bleche-Wite tire cleaner http://www.westleys.com/ . It sounds like a build up of whatever tire shine product you might have used.

Good luck!

I generally use wheel cleaner on tires..scrub with a brush...rinse..repeat as necessary..and then use a tire gloss to shine them up real nice ;-)

There are wheel cleaners out there that clean the tires as well as the wheels.

Ha... i was going to suggest Westley's at first...stuff works, just be careful to not get much on your wheels. It will eat clear coat.

I suggest to use Meguiars Endurance High Gloss.
this will give you a nice wet black wheel look and last longer than anything else i know.
Donīt use Armor all because they make your tires looks brownish after a while.

I use 303 protectant on the tires. It is a low gloss product that keeps the tires looking black. You can buy it at any boat store. It has great UV protection and lasts weeks.

I brush and rinse the tire's with Westley's (twice). The wheels and tires take almost as much time as the rest of the vehicle to clean. Wolfgang tire dressing (www.autogeek.net) seems to work the best if you like that stuff.

I don't often, but when I do, I just soak the tires down with Fantastic spray cleaner. It seems to get the brown out pretty well. I gloss them again so they don't get too dried out.

What works the best I think for cleaning tires is a pressure washer. I don't use it on the body just in the wheel wells and to clean the tires works great.

I also recommend that!I usually use pressure washer but I often use it in the body.

if you look at any reports on tyre care, it explicitly warns that jet washers are not to be used on tyre sidewalls, as the high pressure damages the sidewalls microscopically, causing them to delaminate, and premature ageing.

My tires get really brown looking from the red and brown clay I drive in off road often. If I don't get it off right away it is difficult to remove. I use Bleach-white too, and a good scrub brush. Takes awhile, but the brown finally comes off. The longer I wait to clean them though, the tougher it gets to get them clean.

Yes I think you are right that is why I don't regularly power wash tires, only if they have heavy dirt on them, or if they have tire shine buildup and I really want to be sure to get it all off.

303 is the best. I'm using it to maintain the original black color of my dashboard and trims.

it always happen to low quality tyres... expensive tyres are those tyres that are branded but still be careful.
