Hey Ladies and gents,

Not sure if this topic has been covered in the Aussie threads, but i'm looking at doing some beach driving pretty soon, and just wondering if my Tire Pressure Monitoring System is going to continually beep or something if i let my tires down to a specific psi. I dont think i'll be able to handle the beeping for 5 hours haha.

If so, is there any way i can turn it off temporarily or there a fuse i can pull or something...

Cheers,

Chris.

Not in Oz, but if yours works like ours does, it does not beep continuously. You just get a chime when you start it up, and the EVIC switches to the TPMS display.

When airing down or airing back up, it is better to use a handheld pressure gauge to set your target pressure, rather than relying on the TPMS display, because it can take up to about 30 seconds for the TPMS display to register the new pressure, which makes it very easy to overshoot.

Cheers Desert Dog for the info, thats good news in my book. I think i might have to get a pressure gauge, i cant imagine they would be very expensive either.

And Tasar, i'm in perth mate, so unless you wanna drive all the way here, hahaha, but i'll let ya's know how i go.

Cheers again.
