My dealer threw in custom side stripes to put on my patriot through a 3rd party. Anyone have this. I am sorta reluctant to have this done but they assure me it will look good. Any thoughts? I have a green sport patriot.

side stripes? like wood grain? Someone photo-shopped wood grain panels on a auto show Pat and it looked horrible!

And how much is he charging for this? I cannot comment on how it will look without seeing a sample, however, this sounds more like a way to pad the price.

It was just a freebie that the dealer through in. I don't really have a picture what i gather its just a pin stripe down the side that highlights the side of the car. Was seeing if anyone had this done to there patriot.

My 96 Grand Cherokee has factory twin pinstripes down the sides and around the hatch. They are white and grey (I have to check outside) on the classic Jeep Green color. They should accent the vehicle quite nicely. If he threw them in for free - congrats! If he asked you to pay $100 extra - the dealer just made $90 profit.

I'd like to see some photos of a truck or trucks with pins stripes. Just curious how they look and where they put them?

I bought a dark blue patriot without pinstripes. I took it in to get the trailer hitch put on and it came out with pinstripes on it. I have mixed feelings about it. It makes it look a little less jeep like if you know what I mean. More sporty. Made me feel kind of yuppy. They said they'd take them off if I want. Haven't decided because it kind of grows on you and then you forget about it. You see the stripes on the Libertys, but that's the Libertys.

Mine came with a red and silver dual pinstripe. I'll probably pull them off... especially the red one.

I testdrive a black limited, and it had a red and white pinstripe down each side... not a big fan. Kinda reminded me for of the Cherokee though.

Mine came with a pebble beige stripe to match the interior. (attached)
I had them remove it.
