Let's guess . . .

On Jeep.com, where it lists vehicles, one of the catagories is "SRT Vehicles"--plural. I know of only one Jeep SRT and that's the SRT JGC. Since the catagory is plural, my guess for the next SRT is going to be the Jeep Compass, with the Commander in the on deck circle.

What do you all think?

I agree, though I suppose it's possible for the Commander to come first. I'm certain it will happen to both at some point though. I just wonder if the Patriot will get the same treatment in the future.

I'm thinking the Compass to set it apart from its sibling the Patriot. I would prefer the Patriot be made more off road worthy than to make it a "hot rod" type vehicle.

I think the plurality of the SRT vehicles refers to all Chrysler SRT vehicles (Charger, GC, 300C, etc). I believe they all have the 6.1L Hemi in them. That engine is SLIGHLTLY (sarcasm) larger than what is in the Compass now. Who knows if they would be able to cram that engine into the hood of the Compass. I haven't seen the Compass in person, so maybe there is enough room to do so without major modification... I would also find it wierd for them to offer a vehicle in a 4cyl and 8 cyl, with no 6 cyl offering.

Although I do agree that based solely on looks, the Compass would fit the bill for the next SRT.

Agreed....but 10 - 15 more horses and about 20-25 more torque would do wonders for this machine...imo.

you can never have too many horses or too much torque!

It would probably be the same as the SRT 4 Caliber with 300 HP. What a screaming lil' Jeep the Compass would be. Can you say WRX?

I don't know that it means anything, but I'd love to see an SRT Compass. Don't think an SRT Commander is such a wise idea, though. It just doesn't fit the image.
