Yesterday, according to Reuters News, DCX gave the go ahead for a production of the Dodge Challenger. It is to be produced in 2008 as a 2008 model.

Bring on those 'tanges.

Damn, I missed out on having one the last time they were in production. (I did have a 72 Satellite Sebring which was nice, but...) I might just better start figuring out how to get one this time.

Glad to see the pony car wars heat up, but I have to admit the Challenger concept's orange color and one-piece taillamps ('80s-esque, IMO) don't do a lot for me. The interior was quite exciting, though.

I find it interesting that amongst all of the rising gas prices, that Chrysler is still heavily marketing their Hemi's (and even making more cars with Hemis -- Challenger).

My mother got a 2005 Grand Cherokee with a Hemi and she has been getting an astounding 12 mpgs on a good day. Although I'll admit that it has some sick acceleration for an SUV.
