Got my new pat yesterday. After 40km driving and took a look at the tire pressure display, and it's only 22. Is this right?
I thought it should be 30 to 35. How much should it be?

Look on the vehicle information tag and it will tell you what the proper pressure should be. You will find the tag when you open the Drivers side door normally on the B pillar.

Some of the patriot owners should be able to point you to the location of the tire card (sticker.) In most cases it's around the drivers door area but in my Liberty the sticker is afixed to the glove box so the font can get all chewed up and unreadable.
22PSI is way too low. You should have at least 32PSI in the tires until you can find the proper pressure to keep your tires at.

And note that you must drive for about a mile at speeds of 40 mph or higher before the EVIC will correctly record changed air pressure. FYI air pressure should be around 35 psi.

Don't necessarily depend just on that electronic display. When I pointed out that feature in my new Pat to my brother, who has been in the towing business for 15+ years, he said it's better to check manually first - he has had clients who call for a tire change whose tire pressure was fine - but kept pointing to the display saying "but this says the tire is flat!"

Here's the problem with relying to the EVIC: While it's true that it requires some driving around for it to correctly display the air pressure, it's also important to note that tire pressure should be checked on COLD tires... preferably 2 to 3 hours cold. While the EVIC is a nice feature, you should use a regular tire gauge to properly inflate your tires. My 17" OWL tires came with a 240kpa/34.8psi recommendation.
Side note: My Patriot was delivered with two low pressure tires. This was causing a certain amount of pull and the steering wheel to be a bit off-center. Bunch of dealership clowns.
