: Leasing a Patriot?

Seriously thinking about leasing a Jeep Patriot.

Because it's Jeep, 4 cyl, and it's beautiful (comparing with other new crossover SUVs in the market, most of them are more and more like a tall hatchback or a mini-miniVan).

I guess I don't really need the limited version (it will be my everyday drive), but I do like the bright bumpers.

Spend more than a week on internet searching about Patriot (as well as other options I have), and finally went into a dealership yesterday. The sales guy was just an idiot, and knew much less about Patriot than me (he didn't know about the bright bumper at all). He even told me that they didn't have one for my test drive! (Well, maybe he knew I won't take it that day).

The interior is not so promising, but not a disappointed, either. I wanted to have the Jeep Green (it's a jeep and a jeep should be green, and it's my computer desktop now), but the real green car just doesn't look so good for me. I guess I will change to steel blue or maybe black.

My patriot will be: Limited 4X4, Black or Steel Blue, CVT2, Basic Audio (since it has an aux jack, although it doesn't support mp3 or 6-cd changer), Driver Convenience Group, Full Size Spare Tire, Power Sunroof, a total of 28115 in Canadian dollars.

Now, there're two facts that are holding me back. The first is the interest rate. For a leasing of 48 months, it's 6.9%. Bloody. Second, it's the waiting. I mean, wait for 2 or 3 months? I will be dead by then. I really WISH I could have it when I go to my new office next week.

Searching dealer inventories, it's a pain, too. Looks like none of the dealers has the same Patriot as I want. What can I do???

Your dealer and salesmen will be complete IDIOTS.

There is a tab for advance search where you can search a distance, I started at 200, then 300, then jumped to 500 mile radius, not just your zip code or city and state, cause there are lots of dealers in places you never even heard of.

I am driving 487 miles tomorrow to pick up mine, loaded like you want and it is green. I just had to keep searching, even took the info to my dealer to see if he could get it/swap for it, or anything, they couldn't be bothered and still haven't called me, can't wait to tell them I bought it over the phone and went to get it myself.

Hi gamer, FDIIs are in an extreme backorder state due to a material hold particular to the trail rated version. Supplies of non-trail rated 4x4 and 4x2 are less tight. Lots of discussion in this forum on when you should go with one or the other. There is a daily cost to FD2s in terms of gas mileage for exceptional off-road performance you may never use. Lots of pictures as well. As for interest rates well that is the market rate. Anything significantly less is a buy down meaning you are paying more for the car. If you want to negotiate this where you essentially pay more for the car up front to get a lower rate I am sure the finance manager can do something.

Went to another dealer today (actually, it's already yesterday). They have 2 silver and one black pats that are the same as my configuration. Test drove a silver one, and finally signed lease for the black one.

They listed the invoice price and all other dealer costs (that comes to about the same as mrsp), and with 6.9% interest rate and 750 down payment for 48 dollars, they gave me an original quote of $440 + tax (14%). After negotiation, I walked away with $1200 down payment (including first month), and $465 each month. Not too bad?

I will get my insurance and parking application done on Monday, and should be able to pick it up on Tuesday morning.

So excited. I even wonder if I could sleep for the next few days :)

Also there are dealers that arnt in the search. My dealer wasnt and he's got two jeep dealerships. Not everyone is part of that. You could try using a website like www.citysearch.com to find a dealer not sure if it extends to canada but they may have another site like it for the area you live in.

It's $465 after tax, and the MRSP of my jeep is $28215.

that's right, 48 months, 20400km/year, at 6.9%.

i didn't see my pat the other day, so i wrote a condition on the lease agreement: i have to first see it before my final decision, and it can't exceed 200km. the sales called me today, it's 342:( they agree to waive another 260 dollars on my down payment, and 100km more on the starting mileage. it's a hard situation, even if they could find another one from another dealer, the mileage (to drive from one dealer to another) might be huge, too (cause i've search 50km in my area and all others are silver); if order from factory, then another one or two months, it's just too long. so, after two or three phone calls with him, i told him i would accept the car after seeing it

will go pick up my pat tomorrow morning, can't sleep now. no matter what, still exiting.
