Would someone please take a photo (without flash) of the dashboard at night?

What color is the backlighting?

I cant take a pic now but I will tonight if no one has posted one. The backlighting is white. Its simple and clean looking, very easy on the eyes.

Pictures clearly show how simple and clean the instruments are. Way different than Tokyo by Night. What they don't show is how easy the instruments are to read. All the instruments are easy to find and recognize by touch. The only buttons that may be confusing by touch are the radio preselects.

I personaly always liked the green gages.I think I have read somwhere that green has been used on many American vehicles.I drive a focus now and it's green and I'm fine with that but white should be OK.I think mercedes has white gages as well andthey wouldn't opt for some cheezy style.

Volkswagen uses Blue. Green was pretty much the standard on American cars from the 1960s until the 1980s when amber became popular due to European studies. I think Ford has made it an option on some cars like the Mustange where you can program the dash color to your taste.

That's a nice clean presentation. I can see how that would be very easy to read during night driving.

Really great photos, the layout of the dashboard is really nice. It looks very neat and refined especially with the white and greenishblue backlights.

Yes,I hear you. I don't think we will get any gun sights here in socialist Canada. We get permitt to fly to Cuba though and spend our hard currency in the paradiso island of Fidel.[if the government leaves any money in our pockets ,Canada is a land of heavy duty taxes].

Re: Land of heavy duty taxes and trips to Cuba.

Yes I know. Half of the billboards in February are pushing vacations to that island. You also had to figure in a sales tax more than double the highest local rates near me. Really changes the way decisions are made.

Just one question.
Are the mirror and window power buttons also illuminated?

Hey, Kath!

Did you get the Boston Accoustic Speakers? They're almost like a non-lethal 50-cal. Just flip those babies down and audibly blast the heck out of your enemies - It worked against Noriega!

A BMW usually has Red backlighting as Red is better for retention of your night vision.

True, but the adjustable dimmer for the dashboard works well enough so you can still see the gauges without ruining your night vision. I know this because I spent most of the time commuting from my last job at night outside the city so there was no city lighting to contend with.

That would definitely influence my choice over brand of vehicle. Any color illumination other than white or blue/green tinted white would cause me to buy another vehicle.
