Purchased my Jeep Patriot-- Love it!

Only complaint is with the flagship dealership in Bayamon, PR. Simply stated, they delivered to me a Jeep Patriot with a hole in the tire The salesman told me that the pressure was just a little low and I could just add air.

That's not the problem (after all it could happen to anyone). The problem is that after adding air and discovering the leak I contacted the dealer to come and fix it (new tire, whatever) and they refused. Although he delivered the jeep he's making me come in at 7:30 am to get a replacement. We'll see what happens. Just a warning if you're going to buy from flagship chrysler, expect them to leave you high and dry.

Just an update-- after going back to the dealer and waiting 2 1/2 hours, they were able to change the wheel/tire. Because of the pressure sensor they had a problem getting the computer to recognize the new tire and could not switch the sensors.

In any event, just steer clear from this place. Its not the defect/fault with the tire but how they handled it.

Hey cwalsh5000, just want it to know how much you paid for your patriot. I'm from Ponce and here the cars sell for a lot more than in san juan. I paid for mine 21000, its a sport 4x2 with security & convenience pckg., the 17 inch wheels, cvt trans and sport E pckg.

Thanks

Don't you have free-road side assistance as part of your warranty?
I think there are some incentives as well for the factory tires you have installed

Tires are warranteed by the TIRE MANUFACTURER not by Jeep. There is a special tire warranty in your Jeep Owners Manual/Warranty paperwork. Goodyear is the one that should handle the issue. FYI - If tires are punctured on the road, the warranty does not cover them.

Thanks for the replies!

I called the roadside assistance and they were of no assistance. All they would do is change my tire from the new to the spare, not replace it.

As for price, I paid 20800 for mine, about the same. 4x2, 17 inch wheels, security and convenience package. Had I waited i probably could have gotten them down more but i wanted a specific color. I got mine from Flagship after shopping around a bit. Found alberic to be horrible (well more horrible than any other new car dealer on the island).

At first when I went the saleslady from triangle went at me saying that the cost of my patriot was 25495 is she crazy or not? I wanted it black but they did not have it the had the jeep green so I told her that I would take the green for 19500 in that moment, the fight for the prize lasted for 4 hours. So I guess I did a pretty good buy for being my first time buying a car:).(only 22 years).

Thanks for the reply

PS

Its nice to see someone from Puerto Rico around the forum

Same here. Its a great car for PR. Its rugged for the lousy roads and rain but is compact so it fits in the "parkings" easily.
