This is another great mod from the German Jeep board member "Captain Hook" i want to share with you:
This new middle armrest is 28mm higher itīs about 180mm wide
You need:
Wood (pine tree-layered)

I donīt have the time right now and iīm also not an english speaking engineer to make a well translated description but he took so many photos that they speak for themselfs:

Put some glue on the (fake) leather and wrap it around the PVC parts.
You can fit the leather on the inner sides of the new armrest. Might look better once open.

Now screw a PVC plate at the downside of the armrest so the Double-sided sticky tapes will hold better on the original armrest.

Now itīs time for the PVC upper part you need to heat up with a hairdryer and bend it carefully so it fits on the new armrest.

Cut the length and smooth the edges and corners.

Next glue the leather on the PVC

not necessary but looks cool: Jeep logo emblems

Now glue the upper PVC on the armrest and black color the side part edges so you donīt see the wood through possible gaps once you glue the side PVC parts on the armrests.
