Found this right on the Jeep Homepage

The manual transmission numbers are pretty impressive. But I thought the claim to fame on the CVT was that it was more efficient on gas than a traditional 4 speed automatic (I think this is stated somewhere in the press release)? You look at other small SUVs and see only a 1mpg dropoff between manual and auto.
